The Originals (2013–2018)
9/10
A top notch drama series even to this day
25 September 2021
It's been three years since the controversial finale of the originals was aired.

I always get back to this show (in total I watched 3 times fully from start to end since 2018) and every time I get amazed by how the whole series was executed. (I tend to focus on different details every time I watch it)

Compelling story, especially season one and season two. The other seasons were also good, don't get me wrong, but the first two just stand out.

Marvelous cast that brought their characters to life.

Well written characters, even the secondary ones, with a strong development over the course of the show .

Great setting, not too small, and not too big at the same time, making it barely noticeable that the whole show has 4-5 main locations only.

There is really nothing I could have want more from show that's main purpose was to be a TV drama, from the ones you put on when you are back home after a long working day.

It was nice being so involved with Klaus's journey.

I'm not sure what to say

I just liked how Tokyo was show 2 times with multiple ammos and still managed to live AND TO SHOOT. I just want to be as inconsistent and supernatural as Tokyo was in that episode! Good job, Netflix!

Season 4 - 6/10

I was fine with this season, even though it was way too sexual at moments. Mencia and Patrick's stories (or the absence of them) were so not in place that I cringed at most of their scenes (the actors did pretty well in portraying them)

Not even a mention of Lu... seriously?
15 June 2021
Lu and Nadia should be together in New York, yet not even a bare mention? This was bad, considering their relationship rose from her.

Apart from that, the episodes demonstrated a good and realistic point of view of long-distance relationships.

The fact that those short stories are having more character development than shows with 5 running seasons (Riverdale) is just amazing.

Enjoyable albeit short
14 June 2021
3 episodes with the length of 12 minutes. They could have put a whole 46 minutes episode instead.

Still, enjoyable and funny to watch.

Good times

The actor game is really great and the characters are believable, however the 7 is because in my opinion the story is way too extended. It could easily be five or four episodes or something like that or even a movie. Nonetheless, it (the story) is good, on places a bit boring, but other scenes compensate with it.

Of all the dystopian shows and movies I had seen as a teen, this is by far the best one imo. Characters are fairly good, the story contains elements, which are already established and combines them with new ones, which seem to work as an overall. On top of that, add an attractive setting and you receive a (hopefully) standard for the future of making YA survival dystopian movies and series. (This review is mid season 1).

Is this really from Netflix?
16 February 2021
Starting this series, I was pretty pessimistic about it. However as I progressed, the series proved me wrong. There isn't anything unnecessary, each episode is the length it should be and not more. The actors and characters are charming and the story told, albeit new to me since I had no previous knowledge of the country's folklore, is quite interesting and original. Netflix is on the right track this time.

WandaVision (2021)

Pretty satisfying so far
15 January 2021
The two episodes, even though short, deliver quite the bizarreness that revolves around Wanda and Vision. The whole vibe of the show is intriguing and interesting, the setting is pretty believable as well. Not sure why people expected action from the first episode. Action without meaning is not okay. Giving 8 for the short duration of the episodes (cmon, they could have been a little bit more extended) and for the absence of cutscene after the credits (this is not very MCU in my opinion). Pretty excited for what will they deliver. Finally these two characters will have a proper introduction to the universe.

I really tried to like it, I swear
9 November 2020
I started the series out of nowhere. I liked season 1 and after bindge watching it for a day, I told myself I should probably give a go to the books as well.

This is where everything went downhill with the series in my head.

Now, I fully understand that the series is trying to establish its own version of the story told in the books. However, it just...doesn't work. The setting is fine - the institute, the bar of the wolves, the den of the vampires, the fairy valley, but the whole story progress and "sequence-of-action" is just a no for me.

Everything happens extremely fast, it tries, to some extend, to reach the key events in the books, however the road to them it's just missing, making each episode chaotic and messy to the point when you do not want to watch it anymore.

I'm not even sure what to say about the acting. There's a lot of chemistry between Alec and Magnus and none between the other characters..it's like with each season the main focus falls on them, not that it's bad or anything, but you have so much other characters to focus on, rather than only 2 of them.

If you have time to watch series (assuming that this time can also be spent on reading a book), I would suggest reading the books. Everything is (almost) better in there rather than in the series. True, the series have some things and characteristics which I like, but the books just beats it. However, if you don't have time and still want to invest time in this universe, try it, but the book is so much more.

Excuse me, what are we doing exactly????

Teen drama? Thriller? Teen thriller drama? Supernatural? Illogical?

This series should have ended with season 2.

13 Reasons Why (2017–2020)

The show got Riverdaled.
22 June 2020
Ladies and gentlemen, our beloved show got Riverdaled. It went from a well built show, with a bit chaotic sequence, which reflected on real world problems in a brutal way (as it should) to..the mess that it is.

Now, I loved season 1, I liked season 2 (I cried at the end), I enjoyed season 3 (again, cried at the end), but sorry season 4 is completely unwatchable..I just can't bear how they try to show the message for the mental health.. I really cannot bear it. As one struggling with such panic attacks I related to some of the thoughts and actions, but as you progress with the episodes they just get way, way too much movie-like contradicting with the way this show has been operating for 3 seasons.

I managed to get through every disturbing thing and character ruin they have done so far, but this season and everything on it is killing my desire to continue watching. I already read the ending and I know that I will cry again, because of it but this cannot save the way this show has been Riverdaled, Throned etc.

I'm keeping it 7, because I liked the characters and the plot until season 3. It's not right to lower it just because of 10 episodes we can pretend never happened.

THIS IS NOT A MOVIE ABOUT THE GAYS!
1 June 2020
This is not your regular movie about coming out. This is not your regular movie on which the focus is the gay relationship. This is a movie about a pure emotion and human relationships with the family, your lover and yourself. This is a movie, in which many would probably recognize themselves in. For an example I entirely related with the Johnny's character, hell, I do not know how I would have accepted this movie if I watched it during that period.

Yes, the plot is pretty basic. Is something that you have either seen somewhere else or experienced in first-hand, however, the fact that this is not your typical romantic gay s**t, makes it so special and the fact that the characters are in the real world and not in high-school (like any gay involving series/movies recently). This movie is about everything that makes you you on an emotional level.

I can continue own with describing what I saw in this movie, but I will stop here. Definitely better than Call Me By Your Name (THE MOVIE) and definitely the writers and directors should use it for future reference when writing a script that contains gay characters.

The end

Warning: Spoilers
Great ending to the series, yet I feel like the whole universe is still somehow..incomplete? I loved how everything began and ended with Fillory, I loved how the characters developed among themselves, but the feeling of incompleteness cannot leave my mind.

My first and only favorite musical episode and I have watched many
26 April 2020
Coming from a background with Riverdale, I used to hate every single musical episode, but this. THIS IS HOW YOU MAKE A PROPER MUSICAL PARTS IN AN EPISODE. The music is catchy, it makes you wanna dance as well, the actors perform pretty good for (I'm not sure) having no musical background. Riverdale should really take a note from this.

An immersive experience
20 April 2020
Season 3 has been, so far, a brilliant near-perfection experience by story, scenes and music. Do not trust the reviews with low ratings, the people behind them clearly show that they have not been paying attention to the characters and how they develop, but only on the fact that they are robots in a park for entertainment.

In my personal opinion every single detail in season 3 was bound to happen since the last episode of season 1. (If you know what I mean, you know).

A word, please.
15 April 2020
Teenagers, well, being teenagers. Nothing more, nothing less. I do not understand all of the low ratings, hating on this show and comparing it to other rather similar series. This is basically "kids left alone" story with a little bit of psychological thinking "I might never see my parents ever again" (which kinda explains certain actions and the overall overreacting). True, in same scenes it does not make sense, but hey, this is all about teenage life - making such an action, get the mistake, improve yourself. Not exaggerated or anything, just raw teenage emotion and actions. 7/10. Y'all need to stop complaining so much.
