When it comes to Asian animated shows appearing in a high profile US channel, most of those shows come from Japan. But whoever thought about a show from China also making it? That is the case for Deer Squad which is extraordinary.

The show centers on a deer quartet who have powers based on the classic elements in Chinese tradition. Kai has water powers, and is a bit of techno wizard. Rammy has sun powers, and is the athletic one. Bobbi has earth powers, and is the little kid of the group. And we have Lola who has wood powers (I have yet to figure what kind of character she has.).

The show has some inspiration from shows like Paw Patrol, and Captain Planet and the Planeteers. But it's still cute and adorable. With regards to the choice of animals used as the protagonists, you can thank Santa Claus for that.

Once upon a time, there lived a black and white dog named Lollie. Because something happened to her hind legs, she needed to wear wheels at the back. She had two friends named Bingo and Rolly whom she liked going into adventures with. After such a period, she moved away.

Upon moving, Lollie applied a newer and cooler set of rear wheels. But for some reason she also changed herself from a female to a male, thus she changed her name from Lollie to Rex. Rex went on to make new friends in Marshall, Chase, Rubble, Rocky, Zuma, and Skye. He took a job in helping a zoologist raise some giant reptiles that were thought to disappear long ago.

Anyway, what do I think about this episode? I would say that I find it pleasantly odd as this is one of the many ways the studio diverted the Paw Patrol series into different settings. In one, the pups help a princess who owns a villainous dog. In another, they receive power from an asteroid and use them to defend the city against a super-powered feline. In this one, they enter a mysterious land where huge lizards still roam. Again, I find the episode pleasantly odd.

PS: Lollie and Rex are actually different dogs from different shows. But because they have some similarities, I find it a little comical and like to imagine that the former changed into the latter.

Upon seeing some episodes on the web, I would say the show is as good as any cartoon series. I wonder why a lot of detractors say the show is copying a ridiculous talking block of cheese? Whatever those simpletons are saying, it doesn't seem to make any sense. I sometimes think most cartoon shows are presented in similar style and tone. The style of that talking cheese is probably based on some earlier shows.

The series shows the bizarre tales of a squirrel and his skunk pal. The squirrel also has a job at a grocery under a cynical supervisor.

A with every animated series, viewers can have a variety of views on a certain show. But if you're someone who adores squirrels, then this show is for you.

When people make songs, films, or games, they need to be certain that what they're making would be marketable. If it doesn't sell good enough, then all that money and hard work used would be wasted. Conker's Bad Fur Day, however, is an exception as it was made entirely for a sentimental purpose. Rare created this icky game as a response to the detractors who say the games they make are to kiddish. I don't think those remarks should matter. Anyway, because of the game they made, Rare and Nintendo probably paid a heavy price because the icky game was expensive to make, and the copies sold are inadequate. Perhaps the sales could have been far different had they not changed the game from its original nice and decent form.

Perhaps presenting Conker in a grotesque way was a bad idea. A remake of the game was released in 2005. However, the game couldn't attain platinum hit status, let alone best seller status. This probably shows gamers don't like dirty games.

All these go to show that a media should be made in way that it's likely to get customers. To make a product entirely on the basis of sentiment is one of the dullest of ideas.
