Funny and lighthearted

A good afternoon movie when you just want to forget about the troubles if the world. I love Tyler Perry's character, Madea. I just wish she was the focus of this one. The Madea movies are NOT made to take too seriously. Just sit back and relax.

Loved Brad Pitt and the cinematography was amazing, but someone will need to explain this movie to me. I get some of the symbolism, however, the majority of the nature shots are over my head.

A must for any Brad Pitt fan

I enjoyed this, calm but suspenseful drama. No car crashes but several action sequences build to a quest for answers. What happened to Clifford? What happened to his crew? Is there other life besides humans out there? Roy's (Pitt) narration makes this an insightful look into our human existence. A must movie for any Brad Pitt fan (as he is in almost every scene). Much better than his fellow Hollywood friend's astronaut characters (The Martin, and Gravity). Pitt can top them all. James Gray surpasses Kubrick's film 2001 in authenticity and production.

Johnny Depp is awesome

Johnny Depp is the best thing about this melo-drama. I would not call it a comedy, nor a drama. The script is ok but the story seems a bit blah. Good premise but could have been so much better. However, Johnny Depp shines. Can't help but fall in love with his character.

Warning: Spoilers
Liam Neeson still has it in this action film, but the storyline does not do him any favors. Kudos for the film's editing and directing departments. Several fight scenes were film in 360, which enhanced the action sequences. How did the FBI actually determine Michael's family were potential victims is not clearly explained. Good action, good action, just blah storyline.
