Man vs. Bee (2022)

JUST LIKE TOM AND JERRY!
25 June 2022
Rowan Atkinsons portrayal of the bumbling Trevor Bingley is highly energetic and entertaining. His crazy and whacky ideas to try and rid of a bee are fascinating and very comical. It is definitely reminiscent of Mr Bean but has very strong Tom and Jerry moments. Jerry used to win against Tom. Trevor equals Tom and bee equals Jerry. The episode lengths almost match those of tom and jerry episodes. I was highly entertained and laughing my socks off. It's definitely worth the watch!

Thomas & Friends (1984–2021)
10/10
Classic!
8 April 2022
As a kid, I used to watch this religiously. Had plenty of VHS tapes, and always collected the Thomas figures. Thomas the tank engine is definitely a brilliant series, and the current rating that it has overall, does not do it any justice.

I do love that today, Thomas is still going strong, and the introduction of news characters is always a plus, but I think the introduction of CGI, has made the series run last more than it should have done. To also change the theme music as well feels like blasphemy. I will always be a fan of the non cgi Thomas, but the new stuff, I just can't imagine it any other way.

I've introduced my son to the original series, which he thoroughly enjoys, and re-watching the series certainly brings back fond memories of the beloved series, and always a joy to see my son get excited about it. This will always get a 10/10 from me.

Tugs (1989–1990)

A delightful little series!
8 April 2022
If you enjoyed Thomas the tank engine, then you'll love this little series based around the 1920s of working tug boats. The characters are very relatable and their quirks are very spot on. Star Tugs Vs the Z Stacks is a perfect little rivalry where two companies fight it out to be the best around.

This whole series is a sheer delight to watch. One of my favourites is Warrior. He's almost like Joey from friends. A loveable guy who would do anything to help his friends, no matter the circumstances.

Classic!

Warning: Spoilers
Jim Henson's Muppets always put on a master piece. They've entertained for years and this one is just one of many examples of fine entertainment.

Tim Currys performance was very exceptional and this sort of light hearted entertainment is certainly right up his street. Obviously you have to have a song for him to sing and as always he does not disappoint with his very powerful voice. Cameos from Jennifer Saunders and Billy Connolly were a great added extra for what would have been enjoyable with out them, but they add that extra zest to a classic Muppet film.

As usual the Muppets themselves are witty and they massively putt off being pirates. After Miss Piggys and Kermit's song at the cliff edge, I always laugh myself silly watching Kermit trying to hold onto Miss Piggy as she is about to plummet to her very near death. If you haven't seen it, watch it for the pure comedy gold that is Kermit the Frog trying to hold on to a much larger Miss Piggy.

A very masterful performance!

Maleficent (2014)

A Joy to watch!
20 September 2021
This is certainly a different outlook into the character of Maleficent. It steers into the positive direction, as we see a lot of what of what is known in today's world, which would be the greed of mankind. This shows that representation in this very eye catching and terrific take of the classic anti hero.

Angelina Jolie was an excellent choice for the lead role of Maleficent and she certainly shows off her skills as an actress in this fine film. Her presence was always strong, but also her wit was always in the right place at the right time. A fine performance.

This isn't bad!!
20 September 2021
Considering the resources that were available during the 50s, compared to now, the special effects and overall production of the film were brilliant!

I used to see adverts on the old Disney VHS tapes when I was younger and this always popped up. Watching that always made me want to watch it just to see the giant squid that appeared. Of course when I was younger, it looked a lot more cooler before I watched not so long ago.

Another cracking effort by Disney!

Love it!!!

Warning: Spoilers
I grew up watching this, and having been born in the late 80s, I can safely say that I am glad they did re runs of Thunderbirds. Otherwise I probably would not have had a clue about it, and also thanks to my uncle who was a die hard Gerry Anderson fan, who made me, my sister and brother watch it on a regular basis.

The series was pure genius and Gerry Anderson deserves a lot of credit for it. The film was just as good. A completely different storyline, containing the usual characters, with a brief appearance of The Hood. You can't go wrong with that. To have existed in the 60s and predict what it would be like in the year that Thunderbirds was created was very bold and the imagination of Gerry Anderson and his crew was pure brilliance.

The characters don't change at all which is very good news and the film is just a sheer delight to watch. Having created fireball xl5, supercar and stingray, prior to Thunderbirds and to finally do a full length feature film just shows how much hard work was put into the production of Thunderbirds and how successful the series was and to be able to do the film is a credit to Gerry Anderson and his sheer brilliant creativity.

Great show!
14 May 2018
No matter how many times i watch this show, it still makes me laugh. This was the first real thing that got Will Smith to fame and, in my opinion, it is certainly one of his best performances in his career. I am so glad it is available on Netflix.

Why bother?!

What a load of drivel. I was introduced to this film by my partner, and she promised me that this was a brilliant film. I was sadly disappointed, but then my partner and I have very different tastes in what classes as a good film. This for me was not one of them.

Wild Child (2008)

It was ok!
7 May 2018
If you really enjoy films about a typical young American teenager being sent away to learn how to more or less learn how to behave, then this film is for you. The film itself had some good moments. I've never known girls of that age to really get up to what they were doing in the whole film. I think I preferred Emma Roberts in We're the Millers. The head girl character didn't stand out for me at all. I guess you could say that it was very over acted and didn't seem realistic at all. Now if you would like to see a convincing head girl/boy then I suggest you look at Percy Weasley in Harry Potter and the chamber of secrets. His version of that sort of character is much more realistic than the actress that played this character.

Suitable for girls that love rebelling against their elders.
