The Beekeeper (2024)
What's with all the coffee cups?!
It seems like every scene needs its mandatory coffee cup. Seriously though, my money is on National Coffee Association having sponsored this one. Its kinda ridiculous.
As far as a movie goes, its very cliche, very expected, with poor dialogue. And the whole beekeeper, beehive thing gets a bit thin, & a stretch. But I still kept watching for some reason. Stratham & Irons were good. But Stratham's "strength" is a little bemusing, like punching a bullet proof vest & hurting the wearer - LOL!!
And its good to see scam call centers getting highlighted, although I doubt the target audience (old people) will watch it.
Warning (2021)
If Black Mirror was a movie
It feels like a mashup of Black Mirror episodes stitched into a movie. From what i can tell, this is a feature length debut for the director. She has done a commendable job. Whilst not ground breaking, it was definitely enjoyable. It has some genuinely strange & disturbing parts. It did move me to think much the same way Black Mirror did.
Devs (2020)
Great start
I to am perplexed by the negative reviews. After just 2 eps, i have found it to be fantastic. Great plot points being developed that I see reaping great viewing rewards at the end. And the sound track to eps 1 was unbelievable.
Really looking forward to the rest of this series.
Black and Blue (2019)
It's OK, but so many scenes were not very plausible
Maybe if this was filmed in the 70's, some of these scene's may have been plausible, but the interactions between the police, & between police & public were just ridiculous. And so many of the chase scene's just didn't make sense.
Half decent story, half decent acting, terrible writing & direction makes for a OK watch.
