The cinematography of this show is mind-blowing, for a brazilian show, Prime Video totally got it right. It shows how politics are done far in the smalls cities in Brazil, how they play dirty to accomplish their own goals and make the citizens as their means to get it - and after getting, forgetting them, making the people suffer with poverty, have not water and not a single way to live better cause most of these people are so needy to have something that they are easily bought when the time of elections begin again.

It also brings to the plot the cangaço. There's a known real story lived by Lampeão and Maria Bonita, but the writter and director did such a well done job creating a new story without having to refer to that story. This series deserves a second season - which is already written, but Prime Video has yet to confirm the new season. If they do it, it could easily be one of the best original brazilian shows ever done by Prime. Not even Netflix or Star+ (disney) has a show in this quality. Everything is so well done, there's no plot holes. You can feel the adrenaline while watching. It's not a 10 cause i Want to see the end whe the story is actually over in a new season.

If you're thinking about if this show worths your time: it does. The soundtrack is perfect, the photography is marvelous.

The story is so well made, that even the way the season ended i wouldn't be crying or mad if they choose not to do another season.

Every story were well explored, they did a really great job by giving every character a real depth, it felt like i was watching a real story. Its envolving, it treats how humas co-op with fidelity, love, self-love, hate... It has every element to say this is true art

I know, i know, i will not give you any spoilers, i will just end this review by saying that this show deserves more recognition.

The story isn't worth of making you binge-watching the show. The way the characters are sometimes really good but other times so forced just to make the story going for the road you'll already know what's coming... Some actors are good... others are just good looking and that's it. Even riverdale is better than this.

This movie is strange. I think they didn't know what genre and public they were wanting to have. The visual effects, the script holes the bad connecting and the forced romance made me cringe af. Dont loose your time watching this, go read a book instead.

Plus: its incredible how they casted such great actors and the directing/script was so bad that even the actors couldn't fix this movie. I hope the actors get recognition tho... They are really talented, but if you still watch this movie you'll know why this took so many years to be released, it was doomed to failure

All those things above, BUT I felt something off about the directing and this feeling had grown when the movie was in his 40/30 minutes to end. However, this movie has a strong message and keeps you thinking and anxious that this things happen, it's not a mainstream action movie fiction... Its developed to make you think and acknowledge that this wasn't made for entertainment, but for awareness.

Ate the first episode things are kinda confuse... Nut its just because this series has the time going back, "present", and glimpses of future... Its really interesting the way they manage do develope the stories through episodes. They explain all the induvidual struggles, build questions... You gotta give this show a chance and I'm sure you will not be disappointed. Im hoping it gets a season 2! Keep doing good shows, amazon!

This show was so good! Good adaptation, great acting, awesome producing... It has full potential to had have another season...
