Deadline (2002)
Amazing short film
Alex and his expectant wife Laura, are traveling along an isolated mountain road when their car breaks down. They are helped by a mysterious man, who leads them back to a dark and desolated hotel shrouded in the fog. The man's words, even if illogical, have a deep and double meaning to them. This is one of the best short film that I have seen in my life. The actors Caprino, Arutyunyan are very amazing and the story is very true despite being very surreal. I love location of Deadline. It is very difficult to find a short movie so accurate in every detail. Music and photography are very good. Deadline there have not special effects. At the end of movie, the audience hope that is continued why the story is very, very, amazing. I now I know why this film winner 150 awards in the world. It's not a freak show but a waiting game, in which an atmosphere of dread slowly envelops the characters.
The Elevator (2015)
Superb film
The Elevator has superb lighting, an innovative use of cinematography in only a few locations and superb acting that is able to hold your attention from the first to the last frame. It jumps right to the inciting incident within the first few minutes, and the bloody fight between the protagonist and the antagonist is heavily suspenseful until the last scene. The superb dramatic action is well synced with the careful psychological crafting of the camera shots, always giving the audience a different look of the scene, even though the characters are at the same place.James Parks and Caroline Goodall are truly amazing at their parts. Overall, The Elevator is truly remarkable for being a smaller budget feature, filmed in the United States by an Italian producer Riccardo Neri and the Italian director Massimo Coglitore.
