Sock 'em dead Madison!
26 June 2021
This is a pretty simple way of doing business with sponsoring an advertisement while still pertaining to the content Robert Rodriguez is known for and setting it inside the show From Dusk 'Till Dawn. And above all having fun with your work and workers in a short film (which is what it should be all about)

Everyone does a good job for the amount of run time including, but of course not limited to, Madison Davenport, but the thing that makes me crack up towards the end is the thumbs-up given from Danny Trejo when in imminent danger.

I feel that the only way to make sense of the story is to give the most single/blatant review.

This movie is about a man who wakes up amnesiac and finds himself not only accused of multiple kills but with a detective and the police, a woman who says is his wife and a group of mysterious men who are called the Strangers hunting him.

I first heard this because of a bin of nerd-shiet I acquired (amongst it books and legos') and saw the movie VHS release date and thought it was a murder mystery all thorough. No blame on the tagline but it's 23% like that. The rest is sci/fi and gothic where it does have a 'mystery' but the ending is all-out balls-out explosive (pun intended) and feels a bit random with the use of powers, but nothing that the story, actors, music, CGI, costumes and production design make up with.

People have seen and said director Alex Proyaz best movie is the crow and else after is downhill but I think this after goes down(?)

Oops I forgot the English subtitles

I really don't think that having this on a list of 'movies no one should watch a second time because they are so intense' constitutes for that kind of content. Having heard people say this is a brutal film (kinda) and that it is a Korean film made me really curious. Chan-wook Park is the director (love the guy for all his f'ed-up stories) and is telling the story of 5 days of self-reflection and realization that revenge is not a necessity or a good idea, but hinders everyone involved when acted upon. I agree that Park has said the thoughts of violence and revenge are fine and are normal but when you turn those into actions, it is wrong. Strongly agree.

Performances, all top-notch. Cinematography, editing, lighting, production design perfectly great.

The Last X-Men film. (?)
29 August 2020
I can just say that after the ratings' given (some audience members & 22% on Rotten Tomatoes) I can understand the feeling some-what.

A synopsis is a group of youngsters (kids/teenagers?) are all required to be isolated from people due to their lack of controlling their abilities as a doctor helps (or hinders?) them.

After watching this, I feel that a 4-year wait was worth it but in the end it does come down to a superhero story- plain and simple. With Josh Boone as director, all the characters' background and personality were defined pretty well (albeit some cliches) and relationships were defined naturally. Along with the actors, visually it is appealing on all levels, and the story is crafted so it is an isolated story and smoothly told. At the end, It does feel pretty lackluster due to it being a superhero movie (but still not that laughable 22% rating). But hell, I'd rewatch it...even on streaming & more than once.

So I had seen this on a top 10 list of 2nd time unwatchable films. While I understand that you can have that opinion, I don't necessarily agree.

That being said the movie is damn-near heart-breaking and pretty emotional, but personally there are other ways to make people think/feel with visual aid (two movies I won't name off-hand come to mind). What made me watch it a second (and even third) time is the sort-of improv performances of the actors in this.

In case you haven't read the synopsis at the top or watched the movie (it'd be a good idea). This movie chronicles the story of a man and woman who we see the beginning and fall of a marriage.

As of 2020 I have already watched a Place Beyond the Pines and I Know This Much is True (both by same director) and I can say that I do understand his direction style approach. So "unwatchable" depends on your mood and your own attitude.

After watching (mistakably for the first Darren movie) Requiem for a Dream, and then being either intrigued or stupid enough to go and visit his other filmography, (including the inventive, intelligent, and maddening The Fountain after) I had spotted not knowing about this, but a week after returning to my library, I immediately took it. It may not be perfect-- for me mostly at the end--only due to the somewhat over-reaching solution as to what the numbers Sean (Max Cohen) is looking for mean. Albeit, this is what I felt during The Fountain and I was very happy and pleased with this but not, therefore mixed feelings. I STILL strongly say watch this whenever you see it available

There's my headline and here's my review...Hell. Yes

With this movie it's simply that a group of dancers have an after-party but turns out some a-hole spiked the punch bowl with some ACID (but I still believe stronger than that)

Now if I hadn't seen Requiem for a Dream (forewarning, this is about as artsy as that), this may have been the best film/movie ever to emphasize whatever point it had and do so with creatively

So sorry but this is the one I have to watch while drinking. I did.

Not everything was terrible: the actors were phenomenal as always, the CGI was excellent and Hans Zimmer in general makes good music. Plus the cinematography was pretty cool.

It was everything else that was going on. Sorry but kind of not

Immediately when I heard and saw the main title "Community" was stylized as a L&O and it just kept going. I even thought the dramatic parts (with the ending and one minor character) but it just kept going, and going...and going, until the end of the episode.

Plus they give a credited thank you for Dick Wolf
