Avatar: The Last Airbender (2024)
Really Great Real life adaptation
Real life adaptation are never going to be same as original. The essence of real life adaptation is to bring forth the original content with augmentation where the original script has not explored. This adaptation does exactly that. Casting is impeccable, dialogue might be better, character development is great, story is not that linear but still like original story.
This is far better than one piece real life adaptation. And to think same people at Netflix oversee both series. Netflix can still replace one piece team with the avatar team and they can still save the next season from failing .
Wedding Season (2022)
Generic Indian Romcom where the Nick steals the show
Both male and female leads are adorable and don't have to do much to get the movie going. The premise is simple and one that all romcom use with all the typical Indian norms about their wedding and overprotective parents.
I have heard this joke from many American Indian comedians regarding how a American girl or boy takes our religion very seriously when they marry an Indian person but Nick from this movie plays this role to the perfection. His part is not much but whatever he does he does it perfectly.
Dororo: The story of the Moriko Song, part 2 (2019)
Tears rolling down from my eyes(Spoiler Alert)
This one of the harsh reality episode. The direction could not have been more perfect. It comes with a reality check as well. The girl who is trying to makeost out of the war by selling herself to both faction gets killed along with the innocent kids. But the grains of rice she had signifies her effort to take back from the war. Hyakkimaru who has just gained the ability to hear loses his mind when he recognizes the girl voice is fading as she dies. The people who were dependent on a bad deal made by their king for a prosperous land pay their price.
Everything covered in a very gritty and nerve wrecking fashion.
Never seen such a great directed episode in any anime or tv series which gives us a reality check.
Overall hats off to the direction
Brooklyn Nine-Nine: The Box (2018)
Hot Damn!
I have always loved Braugher and Samberg's Comedy Duo. But this episode takes that comic chemistry to another level. To my surprise this episode also has the element where they actually do some serious interrogation questions. On the flip side Brown's portrayal of a intelligent criminal is so good that even the best and logical attempts are thrown in garbage. And in all that serious questioning is full of comic content. Finally the way they end the episode where Samberg creates a fake crime scenario showing that Brown was just lucky enough to get away breaks him and he reveals everything. Braugher saying Oh Damn three times just ends the episode on a crazy high note.
House M.D.: Nobody's Fault (2012)
One of the Best Sitcom Around
Many would say that house's quality declined after the 5 th season but like FRIENDS and OFFICE it keeps it's core qualities intact. The comic scene between Laurie, his team and Wilson remains intact. House never loses his way of doing things.
The episode like Nobody's fault shows the acting prowess that High Laurie and Jesse Spencer possess. The director also shows the deep relationship that House, Chase and Foreman have developed over the years. Chase and Foreman both have been with House for a long time and have grown to respect him but they also know House's silent way of caring for them. Last but not the least but bringing in a big gun like Wright definitely made it one of the pitch perfect episode I have seen in any Sitcom.
