It was entertaining, but they seemed confused as to whether the movie was supposed to be horror or a comedy. Several scenes had the audience trying to laugh and then scream, practically in the same breath. For a 3 hour movie, they should've better managed the emotional pacing of the film.

Fantastic series. It should never have been cancelled.

The new Hellboy was a helluva good time. Yes, it's different from the previous two films. But give it a chance. Harbour does a fantastic job as Hellboy. And the movie draws far more on the source/comic material than the previous films. If you loved the comics, you'll enjoy this movie. Plenty of humor, action, and fantasy to hold your interest.

This film could've been terrifying or a fun horror spoof/comedy. Unfortunately, it's not sure what it wants to be. It's mildly funny at times, intense at others, but never all that scary or laugh-out-loud funny. The audience I was with seemed equally as confused by the tone. Chuckling awkwardly at times, even during parts that were supposed to be scary. The plot and hands-across-america moment are so absurd, this movie was begging for more humor. In the end, it was just a weird, awkward let down.

Very entertaining and the visuals were awesome! Great adaptation, with more heart than the source material.
