Leave the World Behind (2023)
Great film, disappointing ending.
This was a great film initially and had me hooked from the start. When the homeowner and his daughter turned up I wasn't sure where this was going to go, but it ended up being an interesting part of the plot. Yes there were gaps in the film that were never explained but overall it was engaging and interesting. Parts of it were edge-of-your-seat stuff.
Unfortunately the end was a total let down. Nothing was explained, only theories shared. What actually happened? It's left open for you to make your own mind up but it's not satisfying at all. Gave it a 6 as enjoyed the rest of it, but it had the potential to be a much higher score.
American Horror Story: Requiem 1981/1987: Part 1 (2022)
Metaphor central!
So many people saying this series isn't scary, but in some ways it's the most frightening series yet. It took me a while to understand the man in the mask but once it clicked it made total sense.
Not your typical AHS, but still brilliant. At the time of writing this, this episode scores only 5.1 but I think it's been the best in the series so far!!
The metaphorical comparisons between AIDS and a more 'tangible' horror figure is so clever, especially in this episode. My heart was breaking for Patrick, especially when Barbara came to get him. I cried!
Beautifully acted, and a really moving episode.
SAS: Red Notice (2021)
So bad, it's laughable.
Have you seen 'The Windsors?' This film is as if the characters from that show decided to 'do' Mission Impossible.
Got to be the worst film I've ever seen! I was cringing at the badly choreographed action scenes and stilted dialogue.
Had the potential to be great, but didn't deliver.
Only good bit was Andy Serkis.

Hilarious
Eeee, I am crying with laughter at this, one of the funniest things I've seen in years. I LOVE the fact this is based on a true story and they show clips of the real people at the end. Thoroughly recommend!
