Weak script held together by plot holes and unlikely coincidences
29 May 2021
Such a huge disappointment.

First part was basically (too-) close-ups and shaky camera.

From there it just got too predictable (major developments you could see coming a mile away), too unlikely (everybody at the right/wrong place at the right/wrong time, depending on what was needed to get to the next predictable scene) and just comical (I actually had to laugh at the absurdity at one point).

Had I not been in the Cinema for the first time in over a year, and with friends, I would likely had walked out.

Watch Season 1, forget Season 2
30 August 2019
Warning: Spoilers
Season 1 gives the story about psychological profiling and is great. Season 2 just develops into a run-of-the-mill crime show with a final episode that's a total letdown. You have been warned.

Mindhunter: Episode #2.9 (2019)

Total letdown
30 August 2019
Warning: Spoilers
Last episode is basically nothing more than loose ends, trying to drum up a demand for a third season. Everything every episode has let up to, is thrown out for half assed 'ending'.

Look for the Netflix logo before choosing what series or movie to watch next: It's beginning to mean a guarantee for disappointment.

Fantastic, but whoever cut it should be ashamed
7 June 2019
A fantastic documentary on one of my favorite photographers.

This could have been a 10/10 but for some reason, time and time again, interviews with people talking about Richard Avedon is mixed on top of each other, sometimes 'only' making it difficult to separate the one from the other, other times rightout cutting the first person off, before she or he was finished. I'm certain it was done to make it more 'artsy' but it ends up like someone putting their dirty fingerprints on a beautiful photo.

Whoever cut/mixed it, should be ashamed.

Really onesided - and therefore less than half the story
2 September 2018
A lot of people that believes that what Uri Geller did was legit, got screen time, including, especially, Uri Geller himself.

But way too little time is spend looking more critically on the many claims and myths.

So we end up with a very one sided 'documentary' which, IMHO, was a waste of time.

Sorry, I don't understand the high ratings: The main character is an A-hole.
12 February 2015
Having tried getting into this series across 3 different episodes I just don't get why this series has gotten so high a rating.

The main character is totally unlike-able, self absorbed and has no redeeming qualities. I don't get why I should want to watch him be an A-hole to most everyone he meets.

Why this guy has any friends at all and doesn't get punched in his face on a regular basis makes the show all the more unbelievable.

I had to switch away from the program several times because I found it unbearable. No wonder it got canceled.

Avoid at all cost.

I can't believe how much I hated this film
7 June 2011
Stupidity upon stupidity to a point where you could see what was going to happen next, just by asking the question: What would be the stupidest or most unlikely thing that one of the characters could do now?

Had I been able to leave the cinema without disturbing anyone, I would have left half way into the movie, and waited for my wife outside the cinema. Staring into a brick wall, waiting for the movie to finish, would have been more enjoyable.

For the record, I found Antichrist interesting, but in this movie Lars Von Trier managed to take me to a point where I hated all the main characters because their actions were so unbelievable.

Best Batman ever
15 August 2005
This is the best Batman film ever, and even better than I hoped, and much better than the last batman films. I would even consider buying this one, when it comes out on DVD.

But unfortunately it is not without faults: Katie Holmes simply doesn't work as Rachel Dawes: She looks too young – almost like a teenager – and is simply unconvincing as an assistant D.A.

But even worse is the fight scenes: For some obscure reason, all fight scenes is filmed so close and edited in such short sequences, you never get a feeling that a fight even takes place: Just an insane number of clips of SOMETHING moving, with sounds added. I'm sorry, is just not convincing in any way.

I can live with Katie Holmes (minus one star) but I would have preferred a more mature babe with brains, but the fight scenes (minus two stars) being filmed 'to close' simply doesn't work for me; it's just annoying.
