Doctor Who (2005–2022)
Star Trek + Twilight Zone + Britishy-ness = DOCTOR WHO

This is a very unique show especially for the times. First but not least is been on for a little more then 50 years. Its also very creative and intelligent which is highly appreciated in a world of Adam Sandler movies. It has a large fan base that is highly addicted...AND HATES WHEN THEY CAN'T WACTH IT ON NETFLIX ALL OF A SUDEEN!!!!!!!! Its not without flaws by any sense of the word. There are a lot episodes that plainly suck- considerably less in recent years but not entirely a thing of the past. Through its history cheesiness has run in and out but its just kind of a part of the show to be completely honest (you'll grow to love it). This being said it can be dead serious and chilling- don't believe me just wait until you get to the angels...*Evil Laugh* Its has great tone to the whole thing and sense of magic that courses through almost everything about it. It can be anywhere, any time, any place, and can explore, any story, or world, or character- its kinda hard for new viewers to understand the quite confusing elements that over half a century have developed into the strange and complex stuff it is now. I recommend just keep watching episodes- don't give up it will come to you eventually- when clarity does come you'll find a lovely sic-fi show buried underneath all the tangled weirdness- do note its not for everybody...but for those it is for- you'll have a great adventure.

A Journey of Mind, Heart, and Spirt

When was 8 or so, my dad bought this mini-series for me without completely knowing what it was. He knew the gist of course, tiny people island, big metaphorical plot, good self observing message, but this was quite more then that. It had great acting first off. The guy who plays Gulliver and the women who plays his wife are actually married in real life, so that kind of makes things cool. I also watched without understanding that it went beyond big guy in little world. It goes far beyond Lilleputt, into other uncharted regions, and undiscovered islands that are absolutely astounding-watch out for the big underlining meanings their awesome. I would recommend the viewer to consider this like going to theater- its not a big budget movie or anything-its a 90s mini series-buts a heck of 90s mini series!!!

This is a work of art the captures your childhood and your nightmares, stirs them in a bowl, bakes in the unlikely oven of Cartoon Network, sprinkles a little humor, and serves a fall masterpiece. As you watch this amazing story unfold you'll almost ask yourself "Where have I seen this before," and probably a better question, "How did this horrible channel ever produce this." The first is because the creator (Who I believe is friends with the guy who made "Gravity Falls,"Alex Hirsch, and the two guys who made "Rick and Morty" though don't quote me) inspired his world, awesomely called "THE Unknown", from grim fairy tales and American folktales. Both kinda send a lot ringing to the good old nostalgia machine. The second question I have no answer for- Steven Universe is pretty good- and they made that...that's about all I can say for them. I suppose it will always remain a mystery. Back to whats important-watch this great mini series (I advise around October) and enjoy a real delicious treat for the soul- also a quick note probably not for little kids can be kinda scary... :) " - jdhooker
