Narcos: México (2018)
Spoilt by Season 3
I really enjoyed Season 1 and 2. With season 3 it's almost like you're watching some kind of cheap replica and you're wondering if it is actually the same show. Some of the actors are familiar, some of the story seems familiar, but it's just not the same quality as the previous two seasons. The narration is bad, and the episodes in S3 are pretty unwatchable to be honest. It's really a great shame.
Hunter Killer (2018)
Gary Oldman is in this film?
Started off quite well, but became quite ridiculous in terms of the types of things performed. I also had a liking for Gary Oldman using him as a indicator of a good film. Based on this film, I am now in the process of revising this approach somewhat.
All this aside, if you're looking for some mindless action, explosions, and battle scenes then it'll be pretty good.
Billions (2016)
Still enjoyable
I've been watching it so long that I kind of like the characters and somehow feel attached to them. The story is plodding along and I'm doing other things while it's on, but I still keep watching it. If it stopped I think I'd miss it.
The River Runner (2021)
More about the paddling
I'm into slalom so I would like to have seen more about the rivers and paddling itself. How they prepared for the runs, training, specific risks, maybe even some diagrams and explanations of the course etc. There's these massive volumes of water and just trying to understand how these guys navigate and read the river is kind of interesting to me (In slalom the currents are a bit more defined and easier to read). It's more of a personal type story.
