This Is Me... Now: A Love Story (2024)
Had potential
It had potential to be something good. The concept of a movie type music video is cool. But the songs all sounded the Same. Do we really need a GD in a song? Why do people cuss in songs? Do they not have intelligent words to say anymore? I digress, she didn't cuss but I consider the Lord's name a cuss word.
Anyway....
Jane Fonda is a murderer so I don't know why she would even want that traitor to her country in her music video. Definitely a liberal video, then it had at one time a prayer that was mainly mocking.
She didn't even have her kids as part of the timeline in her life. She was finely figuring out how to love herself, but what about falling in love with your children and finding peace in them as well? Then you don't even get to see Ben but as a glimpse. If you truly love someone and found a real soulmate wouldn't you want to share him with the audience?
I loved the dance with Derek Hough but that is about it.
There was so much opportunity for a really good music video with the series of songs but this failed.
Mr. Monk's Last Case: A Monk Movie (2023)
Very sweet
Would have given ten stars if not for the very obvious Elon Musk vibes of a character and the case kinda being solved quickly, but it was nice to see Mr. Monk piece it together along with healing his broken spirit. Which I think could have been more original.
Other than that such a sweet reunion movie. They just fell right onto step like the show never ended. The ending is very precious and I cried like a baby. The tenderness these characters and I am sure actors feel for each other is rare in shows nowadays.
I don't want to give any spoilers, but the movie was touching as most of us has been in Mr. Monk's headspace at one time in our life. But there is kindness and friendship and hope out there.
As a Christian that hope is Jesus. When sad days come I cling to that.
Pardoned by Grace (2022)
I wanted to give it 5 stars
I wanted to give this five stars as a Christian myself I was hopeful that this movie would be good.
It is a good message but it is so slow. I mean slow, like 2001 space odyssey slow. So many long periods of nothing happening and mournful piano music. The music is pretty though. Joey Lawrence is usually a good actor but he was so sullen in this movie and as he said in his podcast he hasn't actually experienced what Scott has. So I am figuring that he didn't understand drug addicts all to well. He just should have maybe watched a few addicts and interviewed some actual prisoners maybe. Also there were songs sung throughout the movie and I don't know why Joey couldn't have sung. They didn't utilize his musical talent like they could have. It just could have been a better movie with a better director and editor I am sure. I bet Joey could have even done better with better direction.
The Abigail Mysteries (2023)
Love it
I love this. Is it perfect? No, but it is nice and it's just like the Love Inspired Suspense books I read. You get the best of both worlds. A movie that shows the Lord and a cozy murder mystery. I just love those books and always wished that there was a TV series or movie like them. I was so excited when I happened upon this. If you don't love the Lord it still has a good mystery to follow and if you do love the Lord all the better.
I am so thankful for writers who aren't ashamed of the Lord and actors willing to speak of the Lord.
Mysteries happen to Christians too and it's foolish to think that you can't solve a crime and be a Christian. Many police officers are Christians too in real life, so it's not out of the realm of possibility that there can be Christian true crime Podcasters.
What Is a Woman? (2022)
The best
This is the best yet scariest documentary I have seen in a few years. It is so scary how these people have lied to themselves on it being okay to harm children and the stupidity of not knowing biology!!!! Noone questioned biology and science years ago yet when science nacks the bible they refuse to believe it. Ugh. Just BC you don't want something to be real it doesn't mean it isn't real.
We are so selfish in these days. And it isn't ever going to be "what makes you happy" if evil is what makes someone happy while they are harming someone in their happiness which is in fact a sin. Sin is never the answer to happiness as in the end is causes unhappiness.
Endeavour: Exeunt (2023)
Ugh
This was so disappointing, lime watching lost and finding out that they were all dead and nothing in the show ever mattered.
Yes I understand that Joan and Morse were not together in Inspector Morse but good grief..... They could have had at least one season together or one episode and then a tragic break up or loss or something. One of the creators said in an interview that the audience would not be found wanting.
Well I am wanting. I am so upset. Fiction doesn't have to mirror reality where we miss out on love or whatever. Why? My heart is broken for Morse. It didn't have to be this way. So stupid to have a daydream about it too. Just nonsense.
Beyond Paradise (2023)
It's okayyyyyyyy, not what I was hoping for.
When they said "Beyond" Paradise. I didn't know it would be completely different. I like a good Ole Cozy murder mystery. I know in real life murder is the most horrible thing. But Agatha Christie, Matlock, Murder She wrote, Death in Paradise are fun fake murder mysteries. That is what I love about them not too serious and fun acting and fun mystery.
I don't care about thefts of paintings and such. It's sooooooo not what I loved about Death in Paradise and its definitely no fun to have serious stories of not being able to have a baby... why? Why would you put in such a serious story line? It just makes Humphrey sad and it's not fun. Oh well just my opinion.
Casey Anthony: Where the Truth Lies (2022)
Should have been called where there is no truth
Casey could careless for Calyee. This is only about Casey's ego, and someone catering to her ego and lies. Circular reasoning and non truths. And you should play all the video from Casey's dad for the funeral or whatever it was. It was a person missing their grandchild. Not the smell of her while he is hurting her, if he ever did. But she was OUTSIDE PLAYING and had the smell of an innocent child. Ugh. How in the world anyone could ever believe this woman and give her a 3 episode miniseries mockumentary (yes I know what I typed)
This is convoluted nonsense and a mocking of poor Caylee. That poor baby.
Making the Cut (2020)
Awful
Can men look like men again? Can there be a difference in sexes? Men are not sexy with make up and flowing dresses, Harry styles ruined fashion and every designer trying to emulate that is gross.
Let women be feminine and sexy and men be masculine and sexy. The 3rd season was the worst that I fast forwarded through almost all of it. Tim Gun wears suits and looks like a man why can't others see that looking like man is okay for a man and Heidi looks feminine and sexy and what is wrong with that? I watched it bc I had hopes of it changing but it deteriorated into a hot mess. Even the designs looked like children did them in the last season. It was just horrible.
Star Trek: Picard: Watcher (2022)
Ugh. I am so tired Hollywood always playing the victim
This is so pathetic. It acts like everyone (white people mainly) hates immigrants(hispanics) and black people. It also acts like we (white people/cops) are so stupid and going to destroy the world
Guess what... humanity is not actually destroying the world like Hollywood and the media is saying it is.
Also normal people don't hate black people. I have very good friends that are black and a grandbaby who is biracial. I love my friends and granddaughter. I love immigrants (hispanics). We don't hate as much as Hollywood tells people we do.
This is such a hypocritical episode. Won't use 21st century guns but will use phasers which is a gun. Ugh.
Real people in the real world love and cherish each other. It's media and Hollywood that focus on one bad situation and make all cops bad. I am so upset by this.
Why can't we just have a fun SciFi show?
Morbius (2022)
Blah, it's okay for a one watch
What I take away from this movie is that Wow Matt Smith should have been the Joker! Dang he would have been great. An opportunity missed.
Jared is a good actor.
The movie was so slow, whoever edited it and put it together failed.
Making a Murderer (2015)
Corruption at its finest
This documentary show just how corrupt our judicial system is. Most police departments can't even be trusted.
I mean there is no justice for the victim. Just heartbroken by this whole thing.
