Infamously in Love (2022)
Heavily Contrived Mise-en-scène
The whole mise-en-scène comes off as one or a group of people that had binge watched romantic and romantic-comedies looking for what seemed to incarnate certain feelings and then pound then into a script. There is no natural flow to the story.
The acting, though not overly painful to watch, came across the some way as the script. Whomever was in charge of monitoring the glucose level of the actors and actresses missed the mark. The sap, instead of coming out in subtle rhythm was spurting out from too many cuts with a dull knife.
The general story has been done over and over aggain to the point of death and that's okay but this movie seemed to want to end the valentine permanently, get their pay checks and run.
Falling for Christmas (2022)
Overboard at Christmas Time in the Country
As other reviews have said, this nearly follows Overboard's basic structure to a T with but with predictable bland delivery of actor/ actress lines. It's okay to make a cookie cutter movie but when it's as obvious as this one it's hard not to think of Overboard the whole way through which makes the whole point of watching a movie like this a FAIL. One would have thought Linsey Lohan would have spend down time honing her craft more. It difficult getting invested in the character when all I see is the typical Linsey delivery of her lines.
On a positive not, it is a very colorful movie as in bright Christmas like imagery but it does not enhance the spirit of Christmas like a Christmas movie should.
The Rise of the Anti-Vaxx Movement (2021)
Veiling the Truth
Anyone that has done their own research into the subject matter will see right through the heavy handed convoluted propaganda. Wishing everyone who sees this 'film' had the time to do their own independent investigation instead of taking the information presented here as a earnest attempt at balanced reporting.
"Where Have All the Cowboys Gone?" - Paula Cole.
The Price of Freedom (2021)
ALL reviewers rated this a 10. There is no biased agenda here.
This movie is a microcosm of what's wrong with society. Blindness is growing exponentially, look no further then this film for proof.
Unbalanced Facts
Unbalanced Narrative
This movie will never achieve even a middle 5 star rating unless it flooded with ghost reviewers.
Unearth (2020)
It is a fracking movie so ease up on the ratings!!
I would if it wasn't so fragmented while going nowhere.
The environment definitely needs protecting but see little reason to protect this movie with an inflated rating. It's an unbalanced film and in so doing removes the 'suspension of disbelief'. I may as well been watching a mockumentary but as far as I can tell that was not its intention.
Da hong zha (2018)
Oh no no no
I am completely mystified to how this movie was ever produced let alone released.
The only saving grace to this flick is in that now I want to see a documentary on how Adrian Brody and Bruce Willis came to be embedded in this horror.
While watching I felt like Alice tumbling down an alternate reality rabbit hole of Hollywood and will now need extensive therapy to bring me back.
Ace the Case (2016)
I wasn't expecting much from this movie but I never expected to get so much less.
I wasn't expecting much from this movie but I never expected to get so much less. It's as if all those involved with this movie learned everything they knew about making and acting in a movie from a middle school drama workshop. I don't know how Susan Sarandon got roped into starring in this movie but even her acting in this was so sub par from anything I have seen her do before. One could surmise that she sunk to the level put forth by all involved in it's making. I am curious to learn how this film even got made. Was it funded by some rich family as a vehicle to get their kids or relatives into the movie business? I struggled to find a redeeming quality to this film of which I am held speechless in the attempt.
