Booksmart (2019)
Booksmart Review
Booksmart
Two teenagers, one night and a whole lot of fun to be had. Amy and Molly realise that throughout all of high school, all they ever did was study. They thought that that would get them in better schools, which it did. But the people who were out partying got into good schools too. So they have been missing out on many parties throughout the years, just to end up at the same schools as those who did party. Molly decided that they, on their last night before graduation should go out and party hard, to which Amy reluctantly agrees.
That's the plot of booksmart. With this plot you could make the most cliched, boring, safe teenage comedy ever. And even though this movie has it's cliches, it also has some new things. It explores every character very well. Very few character in this movie are one sided stereotypes, with the only exception being some theater boys. But everyone else get to have more than just one side. Not every character is explored equally, but they all get to show different sides of themselves and break stereotypes. That is a very nice thing to see in teenage movies, because often there will be a little too many stereotypes.
Now this is a comedy. The most important thing for a comedy is to be funny. So is this movie funny? I certainly think so. Now comedy is obviously subjective, but i found this movie very funny. To me, most of the jokes landed. They were used perfectly and not drawn out too much. Much of the humor also stems from some relatability. A person that could be very hit or miss in this movie would probably be Gigi (played brilliantly by Billie Lourd) who is a rich and very over the top girl. Even though she is not that realistic and kinda over the top, I still found her very funny and the character didn't take anything away from this movie.
That does bring me to another thing. Is this movie realistic. Not really. Some characters, like Gigi and the situations created by her are often unrealistic. Many other situations the characters end up in are not that realistic either. But these situations are there to either be funny or make a point and they all do that very well, so I don't mind the fact that they aren't realistic, because it works good in the movie. Some situations could however, be very realistic and relatable. Many of the dilemmas and themes explored in the movie, are definitely relate to many teenagers. Since this movie uses it's unrealistic situations so well, I don't mind them.
Olivia Wilde directed this movie and for a debut movie, It's pretty darn good. It looks good, the acting is good and taking on a comedy as a first movie is brave, but Olivia WIlde pulled it off. This is not only a hilarious movie it also explores many themes and dilemmas relatable to the viewers. Overall a well executed movie with few flaws.

Faster (2010)
Faster 2010 review
Faster 2010
Going into this movie all i knew was that it was an Action movie and it starred Dwayne "the Rock" Johnson. Knowing this i wasn't expecting a masterpiece. Honestly i was barely expecting to see an enjoyable action movie. Having seen a few of the Rocks newer movies I was prepared to see a throw away boring action movie.
Well did this movie live up to my expectation?
Not exactly. I was honestly surprised by how much i enjoyed this movie. Now as you can see by my rating, it wasn't perfect. But it was actually pretty entertaining.
The plot of this movie is that the Rock is released from prison. After he is released, he immediately goes on a revenge trip, going after the people who put him in jail and killed his Brother. Meanwhile an english assassin has been hired to take out the Rock. Billy Bob Thornton is also in the movie playing and cop and bad father, working to find and arrest thee rock.
So the plot is relatively simple, which is a good thing when we are dealing with an Action movie. The movie also sticks to the plot. It never goes out on some stupid side quest or introduce too many new plot lines. All the characters were enjoyable to watch. All of them were dealing with different things in their life and also the main plot of the movie. The acting was fine throughout, but obviously Billy Bob Thornton stood out and did a good job.
The action scenes are kept simple and never over done. It never gets too much and never get too unrealistic.
The plot is unsurprisingly predictable, but that didn't bother me too much. Overall nothing really stood out. Pretty much everything was just fine. Acting was fine, action was fine, plot was fine. Generally this movie was all around just a fine action movie.
I found myself enjoying it, but it is definitely not a masterpiece.

Deadpool (2016)
Deadpool review
So Deadpool.
This movie is alright. The story, when you think about it, is very simple. There is a bad guy and then there is anti-hero Deadpool. There is also a fun friend, a girlfriend and two sidekicks. All very original.
Deadpool probably knew that the story wasn't gonna be the draw for this movie. So they focused on other things. The movie has a R rating, so obviously there is plenty of fun violence in it. Many of the action scenes are therefore very fun to watch.
The character Deadpool is without a doubt the most memorable part of this movie. The casting of Ryan Reynolds was a very good pick. I enjoyed pretty much every scene including Deadpool. So yeah, i enjoyed pretty much every scene. Though the start is just kinda fine.
Honestly not all the joked landed that well, but Ryan's performance made up for most of it. The villain was extremely forgettable, as was the story.
So all in all this movie is very fun, but overrated.
Escape Room (2019)
Escape Room review
Escape room (2019)
Escape room starts of with a scene that comes into play later. This was not something i liked. Throughout the whole movie I knew who was gonna be the last one standing, because of that first scene. It ruined a bit of the fun in guessing who was gonna survive. Now the end of the movie makes up for the first scene, which i am happy it did. Anyway, let's go back to the start.
Six strangers gets invited to this "escape room". The six character are very stereotypical, but i didn't mind. One thing i did mind was that i didn't care for any of them. I thought someone was the main character, but she honestly didn't do much in a big chunk of the movie. MAny of the other character i found relatively annoying. So the characters weren't the best part of the movie.
The premise i found rather fun. I like movies like this, were a few different characters has to make it through different rooms, all with lethal challenges. I think the rooms in this movie are all good and creative. So that part i liked. I liked how the room were connected and all the challenges. You do have to accept this movies reality though. It is not exactly the most realistic movie.
Minor spoiler.
The ending sets up for a sequel and honestly, even though this movie was kinda dumb and the ending was really dumb, I don't mind and I would probably enjoy a sequel
.
Final thoughts:
If you can turn off your brain, accept this movies reality and ignore the characters(and maybe skip the first scene) This movie can be a fun watch. I admit that is quite a lot you have to do to enjoy this movie and i get that, therefore many will probably dislike this movie a lot and i won't argue. But i found this kinda fun.

Four Rooms (1995)
Four different Stories, not all were equal
Four different stories, not all were equal.
There is four different stories, directed and written by four different people. So i will review them separately.
Honeymoon Suite - "The Missing Ingredient"
The missing ingredient is not that good. In this story five witched want to bring back their queen, Diana. One of the witches doesn't bring what she needs to, so the other witched make her get it within the hour. The thing she needs is a man's sperm.
The plot is silly, and the acting is silly. There is no point to the story and it just feels like a waste of time. Not really funny either. There are also some very cheesy effects. So honestly you might wanna skip this part. 4/10
Room 404 - "The Wrong Man"
This segment is kinda weird. So the plot is that overacting Ted(the bellboy, who was also featured in the first part) enters the wrong room and is mistaken for a man he is not. That's all i'm gonna say about the plot. It sounds intriguing, but it doesn't really live up to it. It isn't as bad as the first part, this one is just kinda there. Nothing really stands out from this one. It's not really that funny, but has some moments. 5/10
Room 309 - "The Misbehavers"
In this segment, Antonio Banderas invites Ted to the room and pays him 500$ to babysit his kids. Ted agrees. He is not a good babysitter and pretty much leaves the kids to do whatever they want to. Now this segment is alright. Most of it is kinda boring. It's just the kids in a room doing random stuff and smelling something weird. Now were it gets good is very close to the end when the kids make a discovery. The end is so crazy and pretty amazing. Too bad the first part of the segment was kinda boring. 6/10
Penthouse - "The Man from Hollywood"
It's at the end of Teds shift, but then the penthouse calls and he has to take it, because there is a celebrity staying there. So he gets up there, with some things he was asked to bring, and is welcomed by none other than Quentin Tarantino playing an actor. This segment is actually pretty funny. Not surprisingly the dialogue is very entertaining, cause it's written by Tarantino. Tim Roth who plays Ted doesn't overact as much in this segment wich is nice. Very much like the 3rd segment the ending is the best part. It pays off in a hilarious and surprising way, but unlike the 3rd one the first part of this segment is entertaining too. 8/10
If we do some math we get a total score of 5,75/10
The Basketball Diaries (1995)
A way too long music video
Watching this movie I found myself thinking many of the shots looked like it was from a music video. Then when I checked the directors IMDb I saw that he had mainly made music videos and that shows. The whole movie feels like a long music video to a sad and boring song, with occasional dialogue scenes.
El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie (2019)
A fine, but unnecessary movie
I am a fan of Breaking bad, not a huge fan just a casual fan. Therefore when this movie was revealed i was excited, but not as much as others and I didn't really have a lot of expectations. Now the movie is fine. It's well made and fine after and all that, but it doesn't feel necessary. Jesse's ending in the show was fine. He escaped and you could imagine yourself what happened. This movie never justifies it's existence. The movie has alot of flashbacks that mostly feel like filler and "look here is that character from the show and we brought them back" some of the actors have also aged alot since the show and it is very distracting in flashback scenes. So even though the movie is fine, it's too long and maybe not even necessary
2012 (2009)
This movie is crazy
Going into this movie I expected your average end of the world movie, but this is not necessarily the case for this one. The normal things happen, like big disasters and stuff, but there is a lot more. This movie is really long so a lot of stuff happens. I was never bored with the movie, because they always keep having different things happen. So yeah I was entertained throughout, but that doesn't really justify the insane length for the movie. If you go in with the right mindset, and alot of time, you can definitely enjoy yourself, but if you're not in the right mood, this movie will probably feel like a long waste of time
8 Mile (2002)
Good movie
Movie was good.
The acting was surprisingly good especially from Eminem. The rap/freestyle was very entertaining and enjoyable, it makes you wish you could do it yourself. The freestyle/rap Is a big part of the movie but the plot around it was surprisingly strong too.
Min pinlige familie og mutantdræbersneglene (2010)
Very good
It was very good. i like the songs and the snail very cool

The best episode of this show
