Great fun show, binge worthy

Great fun show, binge worthy

Really enjoying this show, watched the first 4 episodes in one hit. Love Natasha Lyonne as the main truth telling character. It's fun, lighthearted but not boring. The characters are well put together. The female truck driver in episode 2 was great. Sometimes you don't need a heavy drama and whilst this isn't edge of your seats its interesting and entertaining all the way through, episode 4 was a bit silly but clever none the less.

So expect some silly moments but fun to watch. Reminds me a bit of 'Shut Eye' about the fortune teller scam.

This story is about a woman who can really tell if your lying, who wouldn't like to have that skill.

Great suspense thriller that you wont expect
2 September 2022
A must watch. I didn't expect that much to start from watching the trailer, but I really enjoyed this movie a lot and very glad I spent extra the time to watch the decent reviews. The story brings you in from the beginning, good character back stories and script, all you really need to know. It might seem a bit silly to start but don't underestimate this movie.

The suspense is just excellent, I couldn't stop watching it. If you don't see it through all the way to the end you will miss the big twist in this. It will keep you on the edge of your seat.

Highly recommended from me and I don't always watch this type of movie, this is A+ from me.

What can I say, but not the true meaning of anarchy
24 July 2022
Warning: Spoilers
The creators of Anarchapulco, defined by what they interpret to be anarchy is right wing liberal capitalism, generally rich people asking for freedom with no government or taxes to pay.

It is not about liberty, it is not about being a critical or productive member of society creating equality, it is more or less neo-feudalism where the primary characteristic is that individuals public lives are increasingly governed by business corporations. People who are not subject to everyday laws, can create their own laws to an extent, dominate large markets, employ immense swathes of individuals, wield the economic might equivalent of entire nations, and own assets, especially real-estate, on a massive scale.

It can be called techno-capitalist-feudalism wherein an insurmountable divide and stratum now exists in and between the "1 percent" and the "99 percent", or more specifically, the state-finance-corporate-aristocracy and the workforce/population.

There is a couple who promote home schooling, this is not for everyone and the mother who has a baby was lucky to have an easy birth which is not the case for everyone as there was not a doctor or a nurse. The rational is based around her own personal upbringing which obviously was not good. I understand some of the rational but to preach about it, perhaps not.

As a previous reviewer said, it appears to be a cult like set up that they have created. It is definitely worth the watch and it might open your eyes (if they are not open already) to the current state of 2022. It is a shame that the world does not trust government, but completely understandable.

Google the real meaning of anarchy and make your own decision.

Fantastic
24 June 2022
Absolutely loved this show. I don't normally watch much animation and this is Quibi style so short, 5 minutes episodes (roughly). I have liked most of the Quibi series so I was used to this style so didn't bother me too much.

The story and messaging has to get out there pretty quickly and this show was brilliant so I binged watched a lot of it. Each episode is unique and just soooo clever. A few of the stories were relevant to modern day which I loved and also centred around basic human behaviour.

My favourite episode is 'Sonnie's Edge', which is the first episode of Season 1, I cannot say enough about this episode and have watched it many times. In fact I want to watch all seasons again.

Initially the series reminded me of 'Black Mirror' but it is sharper and more intelligent. Love, Death and Robots just grabs your attention you won't want to stop pressing play for the next one.

Excellent story lines and animation, can't wait for the next season, AAA+++ from me.

Excellent Show
8 October 2021
I've watched all seasons 1-3 and just about to start season 4. Yes there was some weirdness in Season 1 and 2, a bit bizarre at times but never the less gripping and it drags you in.

This is Billy Bob Thornton at his best. Definitely binge material.

I Like It
17 September 2021
I watched the original in my time and loved it, although it was cheesy then! "The plane boss, the plane"

This one I'm giving a go. The first episode with the Newsreader was odd and I agree with the first reviewer, but just that story. However, its a good show, could it use a bit of oomph? Possibly or not, its about fantasies coming true in what ever form. It's not science fiction or special effects, just interesting stories and twists in the tales.

light entertainment - funny show
23 May 2021
I really like this show and its different and funny. But why oh why do Americans think they need to have this canned laughter in the background all the time, do the producers think that people are so stupid they don't know when to laugh??? This is the 20th century......LOL

We don't need canned laughter anymore, get it!!! It spoils a show. This is the only one that ONLY JUST gets away with it.

Please please dump the laughter, especially as its the 2nd season so folks know the show now.

I tried to watch the last new (weed) Rosanne show but the canned laughter was so badI couldn't watch it at all.

I would rate this show higher if there was no canned laughter.

Really enjoyed this original series

Something completely different, creative and capturing. This new series is nothing you've seen (or heard) before, the concept is excellent, the only cast is via audio. Its so well done and original you'll want to binge the whole series, but I've tried not too so I can go back to it, which I recommend, as after all its mostly audio and graphics so I think it keeps it fresh. The same theme is mostly across all episodes and it just drags you in.... VERY GOOD!

Highly recommended.

I have been looking for the original series from 2017 but cant find it anywhere to watch unfortunately.

A kids movie to be reviewed as so
9 April 2021
Initially I thought 'oh dear' about this movie, but then hang on.....this is a kids (under 13 years) movie that I chose to watch, and I did so because I like the main actresses.

It also appears that other adults here are reviewing this movie, so give it a break as its not made for YOU!!!

I am not sure what folks think is good quality, suitable or correct for young kids to watch these days but in my observation at age 10 they are watching 'Hunger Games' and look to 'Katnes' as a role model. When I was a kid the 'Ghostbusters' movie was in! We never had all the things kids enjoy today.

So yes please remember this is A KIDS MOVIE!

There are a few cliches in the storyline, but the movie is based around friendship and acceptance for one and another. If you think that showing that you don't need to be thin and look like a waif model to be successful and a superhero then your missing the point!

I thought the characters did have some funny lines and I kinda enjoyed a few silly moments in this movie, and I watched the whole movie. I probably didn't need to LOL

It's hard to please these days but you could watch this on TV with your 8 year old and not worry. However, generally Thunder Force is rated PG-13 and only because they they chose to imply strong language.

Just to note; The movie 'Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them', which is classified as age 12, shows graphic child abuse as well as violent deaths. Victims are shown in great detail as ashy grey corpses.

At the end of the day 'Thunder Force' offers the message that superheroes can come in all shapes, sizes, educational levels, and genders -- and that honesty and integrity win out over lying, cheating, and scaring or hurting people.

Fake reviewers here
28 January 2021
I don't normally write feedback on fake reviews but these are so obvious its not funny. To name democrats and in particular to call "Kshama Sawant a socialist, but an evil one at that"...... is ridiculous. A right wing opinion that brings politics into a review of a movie/documentary is not right.

Now I will watch this and review it properly.

Excellent show and binge worthy
30 December 2020
This series is from Spain and I don't mind subtitles every now and again, luckily I managed to watch a dubbed version which wasn't too bad compared with the subtitles that I left on just to check.

What may appear to be a classic exorcist style show...... it is not, its quite different and with an interesting twist. No spoilers here as it would ruin the show. I've seen something similar but not for a long time. Perhaps a bit of a 'Damien' style series. It is well put together, a good cast, writing and concept. There are some scenes that you wouldn't expect to see. I'm up to episode 4 and have been binge watching this.

Clever show and definitely a good watch, well done Spain.

Love Love Love it!
19 September 2020
There are a few not so good reviews here stating lack of originality. It does reminds me of the first few seasons of American Horror Story and I don't have a problem with that, they were excellent. If some of the reviewers here did their home-work they would know that it is actually a spin off of AHS.

Sarah Paulson as Nurse Ratched is excellent as the whole feel of the show and the story overall, could even be a bit of a modern day 'One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest' as a few mainstream press have compared it to.

I believe that (some) may think the story line appears to be nothing new and just predictable, it isn't!

The show takes the viewer along a journey that you are comfortable with until...............

Great cast including Judy Davis, Cynthia Nixon, Finn Wittrock and Sharon Stone who is perfect, is she the new Jessica Lange??

Enjoying every episode and do hope there is a second season.

PS Sarah Paulson was filming 'AHS 1984' back to back with Ratched and hence took a smaller role to take this lead. Well deserved performance. Excellent!

Pretty good show, not far off a glimpse of the future
31 August 2019
I like this show, reminds me of the UK series 'Humans', so guess its a remake. I got bored towards the end of 'Humans' so lets see how this goes but looking good so far. For those haven't seen 'Humans', this show is about robots who live with humans and perform their daily tasks, babysitting, shopping etc etc They are not supposed to have feelings, but yes you guessed it! We have a rogue robot who seems to understand a lot more than anyone realises. Definitely worth a watch.

How good is this? It just get soooooo much better. I am up to episode 11 season 3. The music score (soundtrack) is just brilliant as is the cinematography, and acting of course. I hope the writer of the original book is proud . Well done!!

Thats all folks, just watch this. It does have some slow parts but wow, season 3 is cranking.

Really Liked It
9 June 2019
I really liked this episode of Black Mirror. Yes we have seen similar things to do with AI's, but I also thought it was fun and fresh. The synopsis didn't say much, it just said a pop star idol isn't as she seems. Well not really, it kinda puts you off track, as its not what you imagine, but then thats the whole point of Black Mirror. I was more entertained by this one than the 2nd episode in this season. Give it a go........

Great show, the martial arts are excellent with a sci fi element
26 March 2019
Warning: Spoilers
Just watched Episode 10, season 3, the fight scene between the Widow and Phoenix is great, watch those heels! Didn't see that coming. I'd forgotten how good this show was. I love martial arts and this show actually has everything in it I love, as opposed to watching Claude Van Damme etc...

Only thing is I don't really remember the good Widow as its been so long since the last episode, that would be my only gripe, having to remember who's who. Would have been great if the season had finished and it was onto the new one but its picked up again at episode 9. Perhaps a recap?

Anywhooo, glad its back, bring on more and I really hope we get season 4.

Good horror with a dash of humour - don't listen to the haters
16 December 2018
I think this is a great horror suspense show. The story lines and script are creative, yes you kinda know what is going to happen but only halfway in as do most shows and movies. 'In The Dark' keeps you on the edge of your seat, each episode is a new story based on the 'holidays'. Halloween is fun and horrific at the same time, Thanksgiving episode was great, clever storyline, good script and acting. Cant give too much away.

Just wish I didn't have to wait so long between episodes. Can't wait for the next one. I think it has all the right ingredients. Recommended AAA

Liked it, were a few parts I got bored as stereotype story line, but then I got right into it and am now waiting for season 2. It drags you in and there you go. Group of folks stranded on a spaceship with a twist that would be spoilers if I gave it away. Production good and visuals, acting good also, script needs work but overall a good show.

An Illegal Game Thriller/Drama That Will Hook You In
17 November 2018
If you read the one liner plot about this show it doesn't do this justice, as its hard to say what to expect without giving it away. It is a clever take on a dangerous reality show 'style' game but thats not completely the best way to describe it. If I did I would give too much away. It reminded me a bit of 'The Game' with Michael Douglas in a way.

It's an illegal game, a costly entertainment, that is held once a year in an exclusive casino where only rich and powerful play.

I was hesitant to watch and didn't know what to expect but glad I did as it exceeded my expectations. First episode seemed cheesy, and it is, and there is an over the top storyline, but its got something that kept me watching and then I was caught and reeled in to watch the whole season in one go.

Definitely worth a watch and I would be interested to see how a follow up season would go as I thought the end would be obvious but the screenwriters didn't take the easy way out which I liked. Recommended

Brilliant Psychological Thriller
17 November 2018
This show really has something quite different, clever, smart, and a binge watch for sure! Yes there were some slow parts as folks say but that's part of the whole 'play', if it moved faster in some parts it wouldn't provide the effect that it does, it moves at just the right pace to drag the audience in, it's not slow at all.

To be honest its a refreshing change from all the dull cop shows that are churning out.

Julia Roberts plays Heidi, a caseworker helping soldiers transition to civilian life, focusing predominantly around PTSD issues. I've not seen Julia Roberts in anything for a while and she was really good and on form, as was Bobby Cannavale as Colin her supervisor. Stephan James who plays one the soldiers is the main male lead, and this young guy from Canada has a great future ahead of him. Of course its always good to see Sissy Spacek who plays playing Heidi's mother.

As the story develops all is not as it seems, there are twists and turns, and little snippets of information as it progresses, but I certainly didn't see the end coming until episode 9 when the story unravels like an untangled knot. It's a Hitchcock style thriller and I loved it. The music score is brilliant to add to this.

Also this is another new show based on a podcast which is great, and now I want to listen to more podcasts for fear of missing out.
