Babyteeth (2019)
Don't understand the hype
A girl meets a drug dealer on a train station and brings him home. Because it's so common, right? Then she yells at her mother after her mom rightfully asks the guy to behave when they're having dinner. So common right? Then she asks him to suffocate her to death and he actually agrees to do that, so very common, right? Then her dad cheats on his mom and in the end they all have food together like a happy family- dad mother that lady etc. Etc. - because totally how it is in real life, yeah not really. This movie is really unrealistic, which is pretty ironic given the nature of this movie.
You see all these characters struggling but you don't pretty much care about anyone. I'm a sucker for these kinds of movies and this one felt so so so superficial that I was happy after it ended.
There was no comedy, just foolishness. Maybe in Australia it's comedy but objectively it's not.
Not even sure how it has so high rating. I'm honestly shocked and really disappointed that I wasted my time on this one.
There's no chemistry between any character. Dialogues are cringe.
It's so surface level. The fault in our stars has so much comedy but it still has a heart and is deep. Skip this one honestly and watch a kid's movie because that one would probably have more depth than this movie.
Ragnarok: Ragnarok (2023)
Just watch season 1
Copy/pasting my review here from the main page because the show turned into absolute rubbish.
Update 2 : Unfortunately, season 3 is utter garbage too. Absolutely doesn't feel like the same director and writers have worked on it. Maybe not, I didn't check but it's like one of those amature school projects or beginner projects. It's not supposed to be FUNNY but that's what it felt like. I was laughing because of the foolishness that was going on and realised it wasn't supposed to be funny. Unfortunately, it's not even funny funny, it's a joke. Magne goes astray but gets back on track without any lessons or character development, Odil starts asking random people to be gods and join them, they go to war but don't fight it, all of them look like cartoons standing with their weapons instead of someone who knows what they're doing. Honestly, IT'S LIKE A PARODY. I would suggest you only watch season 1 if you haven't already and want to and skip season 2 all together and just watch the last 2 episodes of season 3 to save your time.
Update 1 : 7/10 for season 2. It was very rushed and the character development seemed chopped. Everything was abrupt and so not smooth. Hope season 3 is better.
I love Marvel movies but not all the times you wanna watch a superhero movie that looks like a video game with fights but nothing else. This one takes you in-depth but never bores you. Every character is intriguing and won't feel that this one shouldn't be here. The triumph of the good over evil is shown in the most beautiful way. He's the embodiment of Thor and way more loveable, adorable and relatable than the one in the movie. You will feel what he feels in every scene. It shows you the struggles of people who are different than the norm but you won't feel like it's something you've seen or that it isn't interesting. It's also impressive how they have portrayed Isolde. She cares for the environment but she's not your usual aggressive and arrogant social media warrior arguing with everyone over it. She's warm and welcoming. I love the character Magne. I hope they DON'T stretch Gry and Magnes story any longer as this show is way more mature than this.
I just hope they keep the vibe same in season 2 and don't turn it into another stupid teenage drama with cheating, lying and oscillating back and forth between people.
Hunter Hunter (2020)
Movie about an egotistical man
This movie is about an egotistical husband who shouldn't have been married because he didn't know it's not only him in the marriage it's also his wife. The wife kept asking him to leave where they're living and move somewhere closer to the city but this so called man with his inflated ego doesn't pay any heed to her or her concerns.
The daughter is also stupid like her father. Like father like daughter. She also doesn't respect her mother and instead also decides to keep living there.
Then the mother takes in some of the stupidity from her husband and daughter and takes in a stranger. That's all you need to know.
Cobweb (2023)
It was going good until it wasn't
I've seen many movies that started off great and went down the drain in the second or third act but this one takes the cake. It gets so extra over the top excessively extremely ridiculous (you see what I did there?) towards the end that there's no saving it. Plot armour after plot armour after plot armour. Then plot convenience after plot convenience after plot convenience. The movie is good till 30 minutes or so but after that it gets so dragged unnecessarily and everything that happens afterwards is highly stupid.
1. The girl has super strength but can't even open the door when the teacher locks her out. (I could have still let it go but then one stupid thing after the another keeps happening)
2. The girl can kill everyone in seconds but takes her own sweet time when it comes to the teacher.
3. The boy is usually emotional but stops caring about his parents instantly.
4. He listens to the girl instead of calling 911.
5. He continues living in the same house and that too without a guardian.
6. The girl still lives there and isn't institutionalized.
Nah, way too much foolishness.
We Need to Talk About Kevin (2011)
We need to talk about the father
I don't know why I am shocked to see everyone only talking about and blaming the mother because you know people with two brain cells are always like "women is problem" "women bad" "women evil" "women wrong" blah blah but it's very evident that the father is so highly responsible for how the situation turned out. The mother lost everything after giving birth - her sense of self, job, her reality and only got pain. But the foolish dad never saw that and was never a good husband to her. He even rebuffs her concern of Kevin and he instead blames her for Kevin's behaviour. He's infact more responsible for everything than the mother. Or at least he's equally responsible if not more than her.
Also, everyone is talking about how because of the mother the kid turned out like this BUT it was effin evident from the beginning that he was born this way- nature not nurture. If it was nurture, he wouldn't have done that (can't say) to his own father and sister. It's definitely 80 percent nature.
Profile (2018)
Surprisingly really good ...
But it's really shocking for me to know how easily someone can get manipulated. The journalist wasn't some poor little girl but a woman and she chooses to get manipulated. There was no credibility to the character Bilel so to "feel" for him was a choice. It's based on true events and a book by a French journalist called "in a skin of a jihadist". Sorry to say but she chose to get manipulated.
Yes, there's brainwashing but you also choose to get snuck into things especially when the person isn't even 1 percent trustworthy to begin with. You always make the decision. People don't like to take responsibility and hence we focus on brainwashing etc. More but there's always a choice. The choice to believe someone, care for someone, get manipulated, throw away your precious life for instant gratification and go astray.
Like I get you can empathise and definitely see both perspectives but then even if you understand someone's reason for doing things doesn't mean whatever that person is doing is right.
Overall, the good movie is really intriguing, tensed, thrilling and mysterious. Definitely not a waste of time. I'd give it 7 but it just doesn't sit right with me how someone can be so easily fooled. So obviously it's subjective. But yeah everything else is 7.
I also hope no editor and journalist talk to each like this. I'm a journalist and I wouldn't work with an editor who's this bossy. I get when working you have to be straightforward but at times it was disrespectful. But you know the journalist was also like that so they're made for each other.
Safety Not Guaranteed (2012)
Maybe good for 2012
It's not common that I disagree with the IMDb users on ratings. But this is one of those uncommon times. First of all, there's absolutely NOOOOO chemistry between Mark duplas and Aubrey plaza. Like not even in - . I know ratings are high but I don't see anyone mention this. It's only praising for the movie. I'm 100 percent sure 99 percent people would agree with me about the chemistry part. If not, they're lying. There's absolutely no chemistry.
More than the characters, it's the actors this time. Aubrey still comes off as someone who's trying to add a bit of chemistry but OMG Mark duplas doesn't even try to bring any. They're good actors obviously but not for romcom where that spark between the characters are needed. I mean they were good in their parts but definitely not together. The glass felt more than half empty, 80% because it's the essential element of a romcom.
On top of it, it felt like I'm watching someone much older, marks character, forced with someone much younger, Aubreys character. And no I'm not someone who's close minded but seriously the pairing didn't do any good.
It started off good with some decent funny scenes but fizzled out after 30 minutes and never gained the momentum back. Also it feels longer than it really is. At 30 mins in I thought it's already 1 hour. And I thought I really can't invest more.
Nah, I'd rather recommend other romcom with the time travel aspect and twists but not this. I'd rather recommend "the one I love". Mark duplas' chemistry with the other actor is still more convincing there than in this movie.
The Harvest (2013)
For the acting and script 7, but 6.5
Honestly, with the right direction, this movie would have been in the league of movies like Run, The invitation (2015), a quiet place etc. This isn't a 7 but oh my god everyone's acting is phenomenal. It gets over the top and dragged towards the end honestly. Starts slow but if you stick with it the reward is better. I understand if someone decides to skip after a while. Honestly it doesn't feel like a horror movie aaat all, like at all and it is in fact a mystery/thriller movie with intense horror elements. Not sure why they decided to direct it like this with "rainbow" elements. There's no tension, anxiety etc. That would have elevated this movie and that SHOULD have been there. 7 is only for the acting and great script.
No Exit (2022)
Unfortunately I believed the high ratings
No intelligence (2022)
I made the grave mistake of believing one reviewer here who said "people are being hyper critical" because usually movie watchers are in fact hyper critical but even people with two brain cells will find this movie dumb beyond imagination.
Firstly, the lead character is unlikable. No wonder her family wanted no contact with her. Still not worse than Jake Gyllenhaal's character in The Guilty. His character was so damn annoying and punchable. If you survived that then you'll find this character pretty likable. There's no comparison. Also, no one would survive after going through what she went. The plot armour was typical and ridiculous.
Secondly, it's 2020s and movies are still depending on plot convenience that's incredibly stupid. When the lead character found the kidnapped girl, she could have easily use her car to drive somewhere else to get service on her phone. That's also the biggest plot hole. Like seriously she couldn't go forward because of the snow storm but she could have easily driven back a little towards the way she came from. How could the writers, directors and other team members didn't realise this plot hole, wtf. Then the climax is filled with the highest level of foolishness. The criminal instead of just shooting everyone, when he and his partner were standing outside, decides to keep standing outside like a moron, moves slowly, screams and orders the ones inside to give them the kid back. Then after two seconds he decides to burn everyone. That character must be suffering from bipolar disorder. Then the lead character at the end, instead of letting the cop do his job, she decides it's a good idea to use the gun she has to kill the kidnapper in front of a cop as if the cop won't shoot her for having a gun and using it that too when a cop is there.
Thirdly, halfway through the movie, everyone forgets how to act. No seriously, like you wouldn't believe they were the same actors who were at the beginning. After 35 minutes, everyone's acting is so cringe I can't tell. The lead actress and the wife character were still ok, not so great but at least better than the rest. Besides them, everyone forgets how to act after half an hour and act like amateurs, probably even worse. Then suddenly the black dude's wife character utters a joke like dilogue that didn't go well with the overall theme of the movie and the atmosphere of that scene. The black dude's acting was good in the beginning. In fact everyone was good in terms of acting but then it's like it's their first day of acting in an acting school.
Skip this one!
Happy Death Day 2 U (2019)
Had so much potential
It's pretty stupid at some parts that it overpowers the entire sensible movie. The main character this time, Tree, was stupid. I liked her in the previous part but they dumbed her down for no reason. Some scenes were overly dramatic that they surpassed the stupidity. Like waiting to have a chat with the killer during the climax instead of just shooting him. Very very lame parts throughout the movie that it makes you hate the movie overall. It was going well until it wasn't. There wasn't any need to strech some scenes. It just made the movie look very dumb. Honestly it could have been so very good if it wasn't for the stupid scenes that were sprinkled throughout the movie.
The Escort (2015)
Surprisingly good
It was actually a mature movie for 2015 given even these days now rom coms are pretty much toxic, have a third party angle with cheating and immaturity, preachy or overly dramatic. They're anything but mature. Not saying relationships are perfect but movies make em extra insufferable when it comes to negative aspects. This movie is mature and demonstrate self-awareness when it comes to why these two characters are like this.
I'm giving it a 6.8 rating because some jokes were forced and fell flat and the lead actress's acting was linear. It wasn't bad at all but it didn't change when her emotional and spiritual self changed. It felt a bit bland after the 1st act. Even though the lead actor's acting was "relatively" good and his emotions were relatively more visible, the overall chemistry felt meh as the story progresses because of the actress's acting. I mean that's the essence of the movie so of course it's very important. I also wish there were more moments between the characters to progress their love story even more strongly.
But these reasons aren't something you should use not to watch this movie because overall it is still very very engaging, light, mature, fun and enjoyable. It's definitely has some funny jokes and 200% at least a one time watch.
Fresh (2022)
I'm glad the summary is sort of misleading
I'm super glad the summary is kind of misleading, or not. But that's on purpose! So I disagree with a reviewer here who says he finds the summary a bit misleading because that was purposefully done. Yes, I agree it could have played around the plot but wondering if that could have revealed too much because I think it could have. Anyway, the movie is indeed FRESH. At first, after reading the summary I thought it'd be like any other movie with a creepy male protagonist with some light or some heavy kinks or some other fetish who prisons the female protagonist but it was nothing like what I had expected. It was that of course but so much more. And it was still extremely intriguing and will keep you hooked. I know what a boring movie is and this is NOT that. The movie is enjoyable with some great acting from the cast and atmospheric.
Prisoners (2013)
No difference between the murders and victims
Hugh Jackman's daughter gets kidnapped and he takes in a mentally challenged guy just because he "thinks" the mentally challenged guy committed the crime. If you sympathize with Hugh Jackman's character and say "I'll do the same" just because you think someone is suspicious then there's absolutely no difference between you and the criminal who has abducted your daughter. You both deserve the same amount of sentences. You both took in innocent people and commited gruesome acts.
I can't believe when Hugh Jackman's character's wife says "my husband is a good man", yikes! So then Will Smith did the right thing? He also said "love makes you do things you think you can't", then it's also OK for people to falsely accuse men of rapes and women for hurting their children. Then their should be no laws and we should all beat and kill each other on the basis of our feelings and suspicion. I mean that happens these days and the same people who think Hugh Jackman's character is a hero is against the cancel culture and against concluding things based on feelings. Because if what Hugh Jackman's character did is right, then whatever is happening these days on social media and based on social media justice are also right.
Men like that are NO hero, and women who push men to protect the family to the excess are also villains.
One last time, if you say you'd do the same, then THERE'S NO DIFFERENCE BETWEEN YOU AND THE CULPRIT WHO did something to your family. YOU BOTH ARE THE SAME!!
The Eyes of My Mother (2016)
6.2 is so much more than it deserves
It's so black and white, and mostly, 90% black, that you would miss every single detail that you shouldn't. Starting with when the kid removes (someone's) eyes. I read the plot and that's how I got to know that it happened. I mean black and white doesn't mean you shouldn't see things. Wth??
Now, it's about a girl who's lonely who grows up to be a psychopath not just because she's lonely but because her parents teach her nothing about life, empathy and compassion. I don't believe any child would befriend a killer because she's lonely after he kills her mother. But maybe a rare occurrence. I mean it's clear that she'd grow up to be a psychopath from the minute she was introduced but the story, dilogue, screenplay and cinematography, everything doesn't do anything to make you care for this movie. I wouldn't watch this even if I have nothing better to do.
This was utterly pointless, no suspense, no tension, no intriguing element, nothing good about this movie.
Awake (2007)
The plot is good but yikes
The plot is good and suspenseful but I couldn't look past the master and dog, aka the mother and her son's relationship.
This movie passes a stifling mother-son relationship as "loving". She's a single mother and she controls every step of his son, when he sleeps, who he sleeps with, when he poo pss etc. Etc. At one point I was like "does she love him romantically" lol. I mean she tells his girlfriend that it's "me and him" meaning there's always going to be me, the mom, and him, my son, living together with each other. Wtf? These kinds of women are misogynists. And obviously the men also grow up to be misogynists.
And the movie tries to pass off the mother as some kind of hero who always knows what's best for her son and the women he dates are all bad because she said so.
3/5 stars for the plot otherwise, 0/10 for the cringe mom and son relationship.
Monster (2003)
Wait, why do people feel bad for her?
I'm sorry, but there are several people, including myself, who could be a serial killer but they make a "choice" to follow the right path. She kills the poor old man who wanted to help her in the end and instead of realising that there are good men out there she still chooses to do the wrong thing. Like I do understand killing bad men, rapists, they absolutely deserve that, but if you go on a killing spree, and kill good people too then your not as good as you think you are. And no, her girlfriend didn't ask her to kill people. We all are responsible for our actions no matter what. No one has the ability more powerful than ours to drive us to do things we don't want to. I don't feel bad for her. She never tried to actually change. She went to interview at places where people get hired based on their degrees. I mean of course people would insult her. What was she thinking? People like her want things the easy way, they don't want to work for things. Then they blame others for their circumstances.
If you feel bad for her, you're probably just like her who don't want to work for things you desire, you don't want to change and keep blaming the world for your hardships.
On the Basis of Sex (2018)
Reminds you why we started
Movies like this reminds you why we started feminism. This still happens. Men, no matter their political sides, still make decisions for women, and tell us what and what not we should be okay with. I enjoyed this movie, though it could have been a bit face paced. Women, never let anyone, especially men, tell you what you're capable of and what you should do. Also, never let any man, no matter his political side, tell you what it's like to be a woman, what you should be okay with/inclusive of, and how you should behave as a woman. Also, Men who use their biological difference to put down women are the biggest losers because it's something you're born with, you haven't earned it.
REALLY DID NOT like the daughter's character- highly agitated, does things to look cool instead of bringing a change, act irrationally instead of being logical, and act more like a weakling. While some times, she was not wrong, but if you can't express yourself properly it wouldn't matter even if you're right. The only thing I liked about her is how she puts those garbage group of men back in their place when they were harassing her and her mother. They absolutely deserved her comment.
But besides this, I enjoyed the movie and it got me emotional. I liked the husband too. So supportive and understanding, hope to find one like him some day.
Beast (2017)
Molly is a hero!
Before I write my review, ladies, if a man yells at you even if you're being calm and just want to have a proper conversation, leave him honestly. I could understand if it's once in a while but it has to be a very big reason, though I still wouldn't agree with him yelling at you if you were calm and not yelling yourself. But if he gets agitated and yells at every little thing, and puts his hands on you even if it's not very physical, LEAVE, HONESTLY LEAVE. That's your sign!
The story revolves around Molly, a woman in her late 20s, lives with her parents, one of which, her mother is toxic and abusive. The mother leaves no chance to humiliate her daughter. Not just the mother though, Molly's brother is highly aggressive with mental issues because no balanced person would yell and curse and get aggressive at every little thing. Her sister is relatively better but isn't decent. She's someone who makes everything about her and is an attention seeker. On Molly's birthday she announces that she's pregnant, how horrible. She doesn't even make her toast properly, just says happy birthday to Molly, and proceeds to steal the lime light like an insecure person who couldn't wait a day to announce this. Of course Molly feels undervalued because everyone treats her like an outsider.
Her mother tries to make her feel bad for a thing she did when was little. She was bullied, and no matter even if you stab someone in self-defense, that's self-defense. But instead of making Molly realise that she was just protecting herself and that she's actually a good person, her mother berates her at every step and uses that incident to have the upper hand in any situation.
She clings on to the first shoulder she gets, Pascal. Now, we see Pascal through the perspective of Molly. If I say anything else, that might result in a spoiler so I'd end by saying that Molly gains her power eventually and realises that she's not the bad guy her mother and pretty much everyone manipulates her into believing.
Hopefully, she realises her true power and worth, and leaves the place to live a life that she deserves.
7500 (2019)
And people were calling it realistic?
It might be realistic in terms of flying the plane but definitely not it terms of behaviour. This came in 2019. Do they really think people are just going to sit and let two unarmed people do whatever the hell they want to and not fight back? I mean yes they had glass knives but c'mon two men against all of the other passengers, who do you think is gonna win? Also, the copilot does the stupidest thing ever. Instead of secretly keeping this to himself after he successfully locked the door, he absolutely for no reason at all announces that they're going to make an emergency landing triggering the highjackers even more. Then they start killing people. Of course they will. I mean who in his right mind announces something like this in a situation like this? Unrealistically stupid.
Starry Eyes (2014)
As if the protagonist won't get arrested
5/5 stars for the lead actress. Extremely talented actress.
It was going okay up until what they showed towards the end. So unrealistic! What the protagonist does is not something you can do and get away with it. Also, you're OBVIOUSLY going to be the only suspect. I don't know what to make of this movie. I know movies are fictional but it doesn't mean I can not see the stupidity in it. Like the protagonist would get caught the very next day by the cops. So everything that she does would mean nothing.
Plus, the lead character is created in such a way that there's no reason to sympathize or feel bad for her. She clearly not just brought it on herself but was always like that from within. So if you can't relate in anyway with the protagonist or are interested in her story, then you don't feel like investing your time watching the movie.
Also, it's trying to show how this industry is but all it does is show how pathetic people are and what they can do to attain the fame. So it's not the industry or money but the people who do things.
But yeah, the movie wasn't worth it so much. I wouldn't watch it again or recommend. But not bad for a one-time watch.
The Good Neighbor (2016)
Beware who you're friends with, also 6.5 not 7
You shouldn't be friends with people like Ethan. He disrespects and insults the other friend, Sean, at every step. But stupid Sean still stays with him till the very end. I was really feeling bad for Sean but you know who you hang out with so more or less it's also your fault for staying with bad people/friends just because you don't have any friends. That's worse than having no friend and it's stupid because you set up your future relationships and future based on who you hang out with in your teens and what you learn, the attitude you take on and the problems you involve yourself in. Even in the end Sean wanted to talk to Ethan and looks at him and at that point I stopped feeling bad for Sean because he 100% got involved in the mess because of himself and his decisions to stick with Ethan.
The movie has some nice twists and turns throughout and I liked it. Could have been shorter honestly. Like much much shorter.
The Conspiracy (2012)
The "What"?
I'd give -10 if that was an option. One guy with mental issues who think that the gov is puppeting people influence a documentary maker about the same idea and he also loses his mind tracking secret meetings that happens just before any great political or world event. Then he and his mate finds out about the secret elitist club, go there and make a fool of themselves because those people already knew they'd infiltrate. And why they do all of this? Well because Government is watching you, political leaders meet and talk about the new world order, they make wars happen, vaccination is bad blah blah. That's it. That's the movie.
The movie is probably made by antivaxers for antivaxers. OR it's made by ultra liberal pro Max people who want self governing society without thinking about its consequences. So so so much worse than having a government.
It's so pointless that whatever lines you hear confirm the fact that people who need mental health assessment is running wild with their crazy thoughts. This is especially true these days and it goes for all the political people not just for one group. But it's funny when people who follow religious books and never use their brains talk about freedom from government and medical/health mandates. Well at least science is based on facts and doctors/scientists are alive unlike the unknown entities religious people follow and then they talk about freedom. It's not religious people but also ultra liberal pro Max spiritual people who aren't religious have these crazy ideas that the government is always doing this always doing that taking away your freedom blah blah.
I'm not American but these wild and pointless theories can only come from America/Canada etc. Seems like you guys (whether rightists, leftists or liberals) have pretty easy lives so you come up with nonsense to find any pointless purpose in your life and create issues in your life when you don't have one. Maybe travel to different countries sometimes to learn about the real definition of "freedom".
The Signal (2014)
Deserve atleast 6.8 rating
After a long time I watched a mind bending movie. I'm all for objective criticism and talking about how to make a movie better but the plot holes that people are talking about actually aren't plot holes. They're just cribbers who want to see perfection or their mindset is limited or they just think of themselves as super smart but they aren't. If you aren't this kind of person then you'd enjoy the movie. It plays with your mind like shutter Island types of psychological movies. Yes, agree it's a slow burner and at some point you might think if you'll see more things happening but you'll think that only because the movie is interesting and you want more things to happen and not because it's boring and nothing is happening. So I hope you get what I mean by it. Although, the movie could have been "more". Not saying perfect but felt like something was missing from the movie. I think the parts where Nic interacts with Damon could have been better honestly. It felt a bit flat for some reason. The suspense element was there but not the tension element. You'd think how it's possible because they go hand in hand. Well that's possible because it's art. So you could have the suspense element without the psychological tension like you feel while watching action/thriller movies. Or you could have both the suspense and tension elements like some psychological movies. Also, it was made in 2010s so I'm willing to let this stupid thing go but the beginning when they decide to locate the hacker's home and confront him was obviously stupid. You don't know if he has a gun or any other weapon. I mean even the woman character tells her bf that it's stupid but he doesn't listen to her because you know, men. But again, as it was made more than a decade ago, you wouldn't expect people to just harm you so this scene isn't that stupid keeping that in mind.
Freaks (2018)
A mutant that's insufferable
I think it's "cool" these days to hate your parents for no reason because there's no way people would side with the little main character girl here. She's absolutely insufferable throughout the movie. She tries to poison her dad very casually that too thrice. She murders 20 other people but that's okay because she's the main character. No wonder why the police force and government were capturing these "freaks". It isn't about discrimination because the freaks were actually killers. At least the little girl and her grandfather are. Not only this but she manipulates people's mind and makes them kill themselves. I don't understand the point of the movie here because the viewers were supposed to sympathize with her but she's actually evil and deserved to be killed. Watch X-Men or any Marvel or DC movie instead of wasting your precious time on this craaaa...p...
The Guilty (2021)
The main character was an a hole
Were we supposed to feel sorry for the main character? And this was Jake Gyllenhaal's character that got nominated? I'm sorry what? Just because you're going through something doesn't mean you can yell at people continuously, scream profanities and act like a d bag. No one will put up with a guy like him who's so emotionally weak that to hide that he puts on a fake tough act and acts like an a hole with everyone. It wasn't just his colleagues that he shouts at but he also doesn't help people who call him in distress. Instead he tells them to f off. I'm not American but I'm pretty sure dispatchers can't do that, at least not to everyone. It's only in Hollywood movies that a horrible character like him can be turned into a hero. He's a sociopath narcissist pig who manipulates his colleagues and talks to them, no actually screams at them like a dog and gets away with it. All the dialogues like "broken people help broken people" fall flat because he doesn't deserve any sympathy whatsoever. Also no one in the movie team decided to talk with an actual dispatcher or a team before making this nonsense piece of sh...Jake Gyllenhaal's character was such a prick. He gets what he deserves at the end of the movie.
