Space Jam: A New Legacy (2021)
It's like poetry, it rimes
LeBron tries hard to be like Mike. Fails everytime.
Can't catch 6-0.
Can't catch air Jordans.
And now Space jam... another souless shameless attempt at being the man.
You not the man, lebron.
Westworld: The Mother of Exiles (2020)
Great Pacing and Action (whats up with these 10/10 generic reviews that mention 0 of the actual ep?))
Season 3 is waaay less pretentious than Season 2. The mistery behind Hale's identity is solved 1 episode after it was introduced. William aka Man in Black is back. The whole cast got a bit of time to shine. I love the all the diferent factions with different ideologies. Dollores/calleb vs Serac/Maeve vs wiliam vs Bernard
Im interested to see where the season goes.
8.8/10
Westworld: The Absence of Field (2020)
Character Development done right! Best episode yet for the season.
First time in a while that Westworld actually build their characters beyond what they were in back in season 1. I liked the progresssion of the plot to a more liberty/freedom of choice centric story, rather than robots vs humans nonsense Finally Caleb became a compelling and interesting part of S3, and not a tool to just explore FutureWorld. Making Hosts flawed, depressed and almost suicidal for living somebody's life was great choice.
Production value was once again outstanding,
The Witcher: Rare Species (2019)
For me the worst episode of the season, still with lots of positives
First the negatives. Oh my godness, how can Netflix let CGI like that on screen. That was some Syfy/CW stuff. I know the show can do better because ive seen it on episodes 1,2,3,4 and 5. I dont know wtf happened here but someone did this show wrong, like very wrong.
Second negative goes to the director. So many dull, flat and boring shots. This should be the most cinematic episode and it looks like it was filmed in the woods with an iPhone. Third negative is the twist with the Dragon. I just find it too silly. I dont care if its in the novels.
Now the positives. The performances remain great. Geralt, Yen, Ciri, jaskier. I love their scenes together, the dialogue, the interactions. I find all the major characters very interesting. Im not really into romances, but Geralt and Yen kissing was some great stuff. Also Geralt unloading on Jaskier at the end was my favourite part of the episode.
If this was a finale i would be fuming but it aint and they keeped the characters interesting, thats enough for me keep watching, but gods the dragon looked like trash.
The Expanse: Jetsam (2019)
"Now, that was a treat"
Better than the first. The Mars dinner scene was the most beautiful set ive ever seen. The dialogue is sooooo good. The final scenes were shocking. Thank you Amazon. I Love you for this.
Watchmen: A God Walks into Abar (2019)
Mixed feelins about this one
I thought the previous episode was the best. The ending really got me. I was fully on the hype train.
This episode on the other hand... I gotta say Im a little disappointed with a couple of aspects.
First the creating life on Europa plot was not as mindblowing as i pictured it to be. It was alright. Great visuals tho.
Second the bar sequence was reaply well done. I liked the misterious tone of the dr. m pov. But when Dr.M came on screen...oh Boy. That was something out of the Blue man group from Arrested development. HDM has a polar bear that talks and all you had to do was a glowing blue guy with white eyes . The annoying thing is that some of the shots, with dr.M glowing and with the Bright eyes look great. Idk why they choose this half Cal half M version. It looked so cheap.
Finally the final scenes were great, the time paradox didnt blow my mind because ive seen Dark(Netflix show) but overall it was a great love story.
8.5/10
Watchmen: Little Fear of Lightning (2019)
Plot gets past the generic/pc "racism bad" point, becoming something else
This is actualy becoming something special. The new caracters are great and now the old ones are getting some shine too. This is a looking glass based episode and for the first time the story gets very interesting.
His Dark Materials: The Spies (2019)
9/10
Another great episode. Gave it a 10 to push to rating. The production value is still outstanding, GoT level i would say. There are 3 scenes scenes on this ep that are just incredible. The plot is moving faster and for those who do not know, once they get to the north things get reaalllly awesome.
