Two Pigeons (2017)

funny and yet disturbing

For once Javier Botet does not play a monster. Hmm maybe he does...

First you think of a ghost storry, then you understand it is not and you wonder up to the end why this all happens.

You can only laugh at the sadism of the tormentor.

Look in your wardrobe before you watch this film.

A great story, an amazing leading actor.

Do not expect any violence, or action, it is all in the dialogues, plot and acting.

A genre film that can be seen by everybody.

Nice approach to a ghost story. The filming is quite effective. It misses an explanation of the why the hauting occurs but overal a great horror movie and promissing director.

a UFO

you either hate it or love it.

The story is totally surrealistic, it is a comedy mixed with horror and poetry. I can understand that when you cannot stand Canadian stereotypes and a totally crazy story that you will hate it.

Do not expect a human-centipede thing or a horror thing it is a fable, a story that is written without thinking about realism, the pitch in itself is totally crazy. It is a UFO, fun, crazy, different ....

Depp is unrecognizable, and yes the movie is heartbreaking if you see it with an open mind and do not expect a traditional mainstream thing.

All in all i think it is special.

sequel of tusk

Seen it at the BIFFF of Brussels (Brussels fantastic film festival)

it is well...quite different from tusk except if you are Canadian because again it is bringing up stereotypes unless you are OK with that kind of humor.

Of course again it is a crazy story, has nothing to do with TUSK except the girls and Depp and that it is set in Canada.

The story starts with a totally unlikely story, that sets the surrealistic theme.

I think of course that a lot of people will not like it, but at the screening most of the reviews were like "eh? what is that thing??" or "wow, i had a great laugh". Me i laughed a lot especially the WW2 references that are totally nuts.

Again as always with his films, go with an open mind, do not expect anything and let yourself drown into his universe.
