Stranger Things: Chapter Eight: The Upside Down (2016)
As of Season 3, the best episode in the whole series. Full stop.
While this is closely rivalled by the Season 2 finale, I can conclude that this is my favourite episode of Stranger Things. The highlight of this episode was Hopper. We see flashbacks of his daugher, Sarah, dying from cancer. This becomes his motivation for saving Will, culminating in that beautiful scene where they revive Will - it brought tears to my eyes. Another highlight was Mike inviting El to the snowball, that whole scene - Finn and Millie's acting here was special. Not to mention Eleven sacrificing herself to save the boys, in an emotional and goosebump-inducing scene. A very satisfying ending that also leaves you thinking (Will spitting up the slugs).
Overall, exceptional television.
Stranger Things: Chapter Four: The Sauna Test (2019)
Fantastic episode
This episode is the peak of Season 3. It was well paced and very entertaining from start to finish - it moves us much further in the plot. The highlight was the 'sauna test', the battle between Eleven and Billy. The acting, the music, the atmosphere in this scene was stupendous; Millie and Dacre, in particular, were phenomenal. One of my favourite episodes in the whole series. It is a shame that they couldn't maintain this quality for the rest of Season 3.
Stranger Things: Chapter One: Suzie, Do You Copy? (2019)
A solid start
Unlike most people, I like this episode. It's fast-paced, fun, and colourful - it's summer after all. We see where our characters currently are in their lives, while also being introduced to the supernatural plot in an engaging and coherent way. Good suspenseful ending with Billy at the end.
Stranger Things: Chapter Three: Holly, Jolly (2016)
The episode that made me fall in love with Stranger Things!
This is one of my favourite episodes in the whole series. Excellent music, stellar acting, great drama, and THAT ENDING. That ending was so perfect, so emotional.
Stranger Things: Chapter One: The Vanishing of Will Byers (2016)
Great pilot!
This episode introduces us to all of the characters very well, especially the relationship between the boys. I was enthralled by the supernatural plot. Iconic, nostalgic, classic.
Grimsby (2016)
Sides-splitting humour
Brilliant movie - it made my sides split. As long as you embrace the silliness, you'll love it.
Star Wars: Episode IX - The Rise of Skywalker (2019)
Entertaining
It was entertaining and the set design was great, but the plot was messy and a bit unbelievable.
