Nemuri Kyoshiro: The Man with No Tomorrow (1995)
Great imaginary being into Floating World
Europeans don't know much about Asian states, especially the Japanese period of national isolation. I have seen this film so many times, and still feeling affection to return. It is an audiovisual light into Sakoku period. Everything is so interesting: conversations, acting, art, sounds, etc.
Legends: Joan Sutherland: The Reluctant Prima Donna (2010)
Not only an extraordinary talented opera singer but also very cleverly open-minded
There are so many great opera singers in the world, and so many tracks on recordings. I think, personally, she was supernatural person in every thought. Each phrase has it meaning spontaneously. She loved music and people into it. It doesn't matter is it in English, German, Italian, or French. She lived a life as musician into society intercultural at the highest level. At the same time still very basic level, on a human level, she had done much reading about the world. She was very curious about things going on
This documentary has a great Joan Sutherland remembering from music lovers she met.
Adèle et Kamel (2005)
A Star, Alari Nadine, acting experience over 60 years
If you like sociodramatic films, cultural naturalism at European cinema or socio-economic situations between youth and retirement or relations generally in life. Then it can be a very interesting film to you. I loved language jokes in French, cameraman and actors great work and a little micro reflection from ordinary life in Paris.
