Interview with a Hitman (2012)
Lots of mistakes but not a bad film
There are tons of mistakes such as pistols not ejecting shells and suppressors making no difference and also an olympic pistol with no firing pin, but other than that Luke Goss does a decent job. The main thing that got me about this was I watched the scene where there is gun play on the stairs and it looked fake and horribly choreographed. I always look to see who the fight co-ordintors are on these films and I saw that a certain Mr Gary Alsopp of the wooden dragons was the Daily fight co-ordinator on this. Enough said it explains the appaulling standard.
Wolf (2019)
Just horrible
Saw the poster for this and my cinema buddy and I decided, why not there's nothing else on. Wish I'd just stayed in bed............
This is basically the dog soldiers script ripped off and now Roman soldiers doing the hunters being hunted thing.
The acting is terrible, the special effects (and I use the phrase very woefully) are appalling. The weapon play is disastrous and like another review said the best part of the movie is the moon at the start and the end credits. I wasn't sticking around to see if there were any post credit scenes. Sincerely this is 1 1/2 hours of my precious life I and whoever watches this can never get back.
Robin Hood: The Rebellion (2018)
Just don't
I tried to watch this utter dross, and quite honestly I got bored after 15 minutes. I've never seen such appalling sword play (sincerely Robin of Sherwood in the 1980s was better than this). Bad dialogue and worse acting. I am guessing that somebody decided why not make another RobinHood film when one is out a the cinema?? Just a thought. Truly a Netflix gem this is not.
Hereditary (2018)
Dissapointing and overhyped
I have watched that many movies over the years and that many horror movies in particular I tend to get bored with them now as I find there is nothing new to offer so to speak. I heard this movie described as the new "exorcist" or as terrifying as. Something like that. Anyways I went to see this with my cinema buddy and well to be honest I wasn't over awed. I think I got the story but it all felt and fell rather flat to me. Certainly it's very predictable as in the camera angles give away when something is going to happen. What saves this from me giving this 1 star is the acting. Other than that there is nothing new here. I left at the end thinking "is that it".
Ghostbusters (2016)
why?
I am a fan of the originals and I decided why not go see this. I sincerely think that a lot of the bad hype was started deliberately to help marketing. The argument is that any marketing or publicity is good.
I don't care that it's a reboot/remake, whatever. So what if it's an all female cast? Who cares?
I went to see this simply because I love watching movies and have seen countless over the years. I deliberately went in with an open mind for a popcorn no brainer movie. If I have to think, fair enough I am capable. Besides some of my favourite movies were box office flops. (The Man From U.N.C.L.E I still watch).
Well I started watching this movie and to say its a mess an a waste of effort watching is an understatement. The Special effects on Scooby Doo Monsters Unleashed were better. The plot is silly and the script is just unfunny. Sincerely I was very disappointed. I found that the cast had no chemistry and the acting(?) felt very forced. I actually went straight to HMV after the movie and bought the originals on blu ray for my collection .
