Maggie Moore(s) (2023)
So much better than reviews indicate
This movie is super good. I don't get why people are being so critical. Everyone is such snobs about movies anymore. It's quite funny without taking away from the main story line of the crime plotline. This is those type of dark comedies that become cult classics.
Tina Fey and Jon Hamm are always great, and the side characters are all hilarious. I laughed throughout. Any "awkwardness" others have complained about seems intentional given these characters ARE awkward. I liked the different angles of seeing the story from multiple viewpoints. You just kinda laugh and shake your head at their decisions. This is a really solid plot with some great twists and turns. Give it a chance!
Barry: candy asses (2022)
This used to be funny
This used to be a comedy. A really good one too. Just a little bit dark, but mostly funny. I feel like that's gone now, and I really hope they can get it back in season 4.
Election (1999)
Not Tracy's fault
Entertaining enough, but I hate the interpretation I keep seeing that Tracy Flick is the villain. This girl a lot, but she absolutely did not "create havoc" on her teacher's life. This grown ass man 100% brought his downfall on himself.
Welcome to Flatch (2022)
Solid Show
I feel like people don't understand a 1-10 scale at all. Weird amount of 1 star reviews, considering a 1 star should be an absolutely terrible show. This is light and fun, and I laughed a pretty decent amount. I'll keep watching. I read a review about this mocking small towns... I grew up in one, and it's really not that far off. Haha.
One Night in Miami... (2020)
It gets better as it moves along
This movie doesn't have a strong start. Feels kind of hokey, like you're watching a musical on stage. Keep watching. Both the script and the acting gets better and better as it goes along.
Wonder Woman 1984 (2020)
The 1 ratings are ludicrous
The reviews on here are ridiculously harsh. I think the first WW set the expectations so high, there just isn't any way for this one to live up to it in so many amateur critics minds. Gal Gadot is awesome as usual. The movie is fun. Costumes are amazing. Even if it's not as great as the first one, it's still better than any other movie DC has pumped out in the last 7 or so years. Just enjoy the movie for what it is instead of looking for reasons to hate on it.
Game of Thrones: The Bells (2019)
CLASSIC GOT
The fact that so many people are losing their minds over this only makes me like it more. Any show with a moment like the Red Wedding SHOULD leave everyone stunned. (And in many cases upset- Ned Stark, anyone?)- The mad queen has been coming for much longer than season 8. Ratings between 1-3? Get real.
I, Tonya (2017)
Fantastic
I never thought I'd describe a movie with figure skating as a main theme as "badass"...but here we are.
