NCIS: Hawai'i: Divided We Conquer (2024)
Never have I ever
Never have I ever witnessed a more blatant disrespect to a shows fans, this was the very last episode of this branch as they have cancelled it.
Oh it was a great episode dont get me wrong, but the episode ends on a huge cliffhanger, one we will probably never get the answer to.
I am mad, as a huge NCIS fan, I am hurt to be treated like this by CBS, they could easily have rewritten this episode so we could have ended on a high note.
Goodbye to my second most favorite NCIS cast, the regular is my number 1 and the third was NCIS Los Angeles, I really hope they bring NCIS Hawaii back in the future or at least include some of the cast members in another spin off.
I See You (2019)
Wowser double whammy
It takes a lot for me to say this, but I watched it twice and I never watch a movie twice.
What we have here is a double whammy, for the first half you think you are watching one movie then it completely slaps you with in the face with HA you thought you figured it out but you didnt at all.
The performances are great all around. I will say that Helen Hunt is not the star of this movie, that says a lot because she is great as always but before you watch it know that she is not the main focus, at times it feels like they just hired her for star power.
Just watch it, I can say moch more without giving away the plot and part of the charm is not to know what is coming at you.
Saltburn (2023)
Nope not for me
I was not going to review this but with all the positive reviews I feel like I have to be the voice of reason here.
Movie taste is very individual so take this as my opinion only.
This movie is messed up in so many ways, it is just not good, there are no clear story no conclusion no purpose, and for a movie like that to be this long is just crazy IMO.
One of my cridentials for liking a movie is to at least like ONE character, I found everyone to be revolting and down right boring, I did not feel a inkling of bad about anything that happened to anyone in this movie.
So for me this is a no go, dont waste your time you wont like it but you might feel peer pressured to say you do.
The Equalizer 3 (2023)
Not as good as the previous two
I take this series over John wick, except for this installment, it is not as good as the first two movies, I am still giving it a solid 7 though because it is a great action flick.
Dakota Fanning as a CIA operative, I can dig it, and to be honest I hope they keep her in mind if they ever remake Silence of the Lambs.
So why is it not as good you ask? Well it might just be that I am tired of the MAFIA in movies, growing up my uncle vinnie always said "There is no such thing as the Mafia" so I am going with that.
This series is Denzels finest work, I hope we get many more in the franchise, I will be there for it.
Leave the World Behind (2023)
Say What? What is this? oh!
At first, I thought I was being pranked by M. Night Shyamalan because it sure seemed like one of his movies, but then I started liking it more, and I have to say that while this movie didn't have me at Hello it is a grower, it has a lot of food for thought and I frikkin liked the ending., just because it addresses one of my all time greatest fears in regards to the end of the world and dying., I am sure it is not what they meant to do but dang it hit me right in the feels.
I will say that it does not wrap up in a pretty bow so if you expect resolution this is not the movie for you, the last thought I had before the movie faded out was.
"Wait what happened? What was the actual problem here?" in the back of my head I know the answer but it was just not very clearly stated..
Candy Cane Lane (2023)
Smae old yet original
I have to give great Kudos to Prime for the effort here, it is not easy to come up with stories for Christmas movies that we have not seen yet.
Candy Cane Lane has a lot of the cliches and premise we have seen so many times before, the basic Christmas movie bag of tricks if you prefer.
But then a highly original storyline is woven right into the shananigans and to be honest I enjoyed it, isnt it crazy how Eddie Murphy look almost the exact same as he did back in the 90ties?
The title is also highly inyeresting to me, it completely throw you off on what this is about and at the same time keeps a Christmas theme in the mix.
Definetely one of this years most original Holiday movies.
NCIS: Sydney (2023)
Crikey Mate
I have been an avid NCIS since the very beginning, I love the original, I love NCIS Hawaii and I love NCIS Los Angeles.
NCIS New Orleans I didnt care for and I have to say I am not fan of this one after the first episode.
See for me NCIS is about the characters, the play between characters and the chemistry, the crimes comes second to me.
I dont feel the characters in NCIS Sydney and unless they pull it together in the writers room I m afraid this branch is not going to last long, the formula is there we just need a little more personale and complex from the crew.
This is of course based all off the pilot episode and I am not giving up on the show just yet.
The Santa Clauses (2022)
Every Bit as good as the movies
I always been a fan of the Santa Claus movies, they have magic about them, and when I saw people giving it bad reviews I was initially a bit reluctant to watch this, as a matter of fact I waited 9 monthe before I did.
Silly me! It turns out that the people who gave it bad reviews are just getting older and dont appreciate the stories anymore, that makes me incredible sad, I will be there for season 2 when it hits Disney+ in November 2023.
If you even like Christmas there is no reason for you not to watch this series, it is a delightful, adventerous journey into the holidays and Christmas. Watch with yoru kids maybe?
Arnold (2023)
To the Choppa
How do you review a docuseries about someone's life? So I am going to give it 10 stars for existing, and 10 stars for Arnold and what he went through to become who he is today.
Think about it for a second, first he won everything that could be won in the world of Bodybuilding, then he created a most iconic movie career, and then he became a Governor of the state of California, something that very few foreigners in the US accomplish.
Then he goes back and reinvent his acting career, I am sorry but it is really HARD not to respect the Man and I wish him all the best in the future, he will for sure go over in History as one of the if not the most iconic Action stars ever.
Mother! (2017)
The Worlld Would Be Better Withoug It
What an utter complete waste of time and money, had I not been in shock and able to speak after the movie ended I would have asked for my money back TWICE and with interest.
They EAT a Baby in this movie and it is just I don't even know how to describe this mess, JLAW really did not do her career any favors by being in this movie, it reminds me of another crappy movie "Antichrist" same boring idiotic kind of storyline.
At this point, I am just writing so it can be ready for review, but don't go see this master crap, it is so disgustingly bad that I felt the universe laugh at me while I was sitting there in the theater.
So why did I not walk out? well, my wife did suggest I go walk around the mall until it was over, but it is like rubbernecking at some point you just can't stop staring at the mess.
