Reality hits hard but beautifully
22 March 2023
I'm well aware of the mean and bullying way that our society treats morbidly obese people. This movie, and Brendan's emotional performance, gives a voice to the suffering. Nobody sets out with a plan to become disabled by weight, and so many people judge the morbidly obese. This movie, better than any "reality" TV show, explored and exposed the raw human emotions that can lead to that path. I struggle with emotional eating myself, and I cried watching this man struggle with his compulsions and his reality. Charlie is above all a good, kind, and intelligent man, and we can see that and look beyond his physical condition, to see his humanity. Very well done!

A true love story
10 February 2023
Finally a movie that shows the ups and downs of love. The genders don't matter to me at all, it was refreshing to see love between two people in such a raw and real way. The high of the initial meeting and first dates, the awkward family meeting, the normal relationship struggles, and the power of love through the darkest of times. Many of us never experience that full level of commitment in a relationship. I don't care what you think about same sex relationships, this is a very raw and heartfelt connection between two people who love each other through multiple struggles. I felt so many emotions while watching this movie. Very well done!

UNOS and organ donation misrepresented
9 March 2022
I love this show and other medical dramas, and as a nurse, I overlook a lot of errors. This episode was an absolute affront to the gift of organ donation, and won't help encourage people to be donors. Under no circumstances would any doctor contact a potential transplant patient, even if they actually knew there was a donor available, and definitely not before confirming an available organ. We have UNOS for a reason, to provide a system for allocating donor organs. The show wants to give us entertaining drama, but the irresponsible way that they represented organ donation in this episode is very disappointing.

No medical writing consults?
22 July 2021
I understand this is a sci-fi show, but they need some basic medical knowledge on the writing staff. Antibiotics aren't used to "treat" a fever. A fever is a symptom of an infection, Tylenol will lower a fever. Antibiotics are used for a bacterial infection. Duh. Please don't create fake medical scares; get some knowledgeable writers.

Finally
17 April 2020
Finally the storyline moved along! The last couple of episodes felt so meaningless, it was nice to have an episode that provided more information and moved the story forward, focusing on the McDonald's Monopoly scam. There are still too many irrelevant details, and the editors really need to work on cleaning up the interviews. We don't need to hear people recalling every single detail and every word they said.

Painful to watch
17 April 2020
This episode had a few small pieces of information pertaining to the actual Monopoly scam and FBI investigation, but it could have lasted 5 minutes. Most of the episode is boring "filler" ... interviewees repeating themselves, some really bad country singing and karaoke (not kidding!), nice views of farm country.

Pointless and irrelevant
17 April 2020
This entire episode was pointless and irrelevant. No part of it helped to move the story along about the Monopoly game fraud. Just a lot of talking about Jerry Colombo and making him sound like Tony Soprano, big bad mafia man. Plus "re-enactment" scenes that were just filler (like 10 seconds of a cat looking through a fence. A cat?!?) At this point I don't know if I want to continue the series. It could possibly be the worst docu-series I have ever watched.
