Absolute MUST SEE! It's a wonderful tale!!!
5 August 2018
This movie is incredible. The themes running through it of friendship, love, and remembering what's REALLY important in your life are interwoven majestically. It's a tear-jerker and funny in many places.

You will get sucked into Christopher's life and The Hundred Acre Wood.

What Great Fun!
23 July 2018
This was inspired by true events. The whole movie is just fun and funny. Guys going after each other in a game of tag...for decades! That in and of itself is impressive. The movie had to adapt the true story, and when you see the end pictures and videos you understand why.

Well worth the money to simply sit back and enjoy!

A great addition to Infinity War franchise
23 July 2018
Warning: Spoilers
I honestly didn't see it coming, the end. I've enjoyed how Marvel's made sure every movie--Thor, Ant Man & The Wasp, Guardians, etc.--have all moved toward the ultimate battle.

It's also just good ol' fun. My daughter thought it was great.

This isn't a flat or just okay movie. It's fun with a surprise ending which shouldn't be when you reflect on it.

Regardless, it's connected to IW, so you NEED to see it regardless.

What in the World?!?
20 July 2018
Warning: Spoilers
No idea why Bruce Willis would agree to reprise his role as John McClane in this way. This is NOT a Die Hard movie. It's Bruce Willis playing some dude with the same name. That's it. If you wanted to put him on vacation, why not do it in Hawaii? OR in El Paso and he and his son accidentally get mixed up with a cartel and cross the border. THAT I could believe. But this? In Russia?

I hope the next movie in the franchise is an ACTUAL Die Hard film. Ugh.

A Message that's Relevant Today still
20 July 2018
Sure, when you think about it, what Klaatu is saying is more or less what actually happened in 'Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy', so it's kind of like HHG is the sequel to DESS.

The calm and humility displayed by Klaatu, and the depth of his knowledge and later understanding of humanity is something we should all take to heart.

This movie is profound. Watch it!

Better than Cruise's 'War of the Worlds'
20 July 2018
Keanu was a good choice for this, but he forced the role. If you're gonna play Klaatu, you need to be calm, cool, collected and not anxious. Reeves came off as a bit too emotional, too....human. Still, it's better than that monstrosity Cruise made of 'War of the Worlds'.

Americanizing a British Classic Using Tom Cruise?!?
20 July 2018
Ugh. I've read the book a number of times. Seen the original flick a couple times. This? This is painful to watch. Just painful. I don't know what else to say. The whole thing was just set on cruise control. Ugh.

Escapism at it's best

Another DJ movie that doesn't take itself seriously. It's just plane fun. It has a number of issues for sure, but it really is just as it advertises itself: A movie about a mediocre video game from days gone-by.

Good. Not Great. Solid.
14 July 2018
It's not the best of the franchise. The main issue I have is it gets kind of preachy. Man will destroy himself type of things...He always finds a way to ruin something amazing. I don't need to be preached to at a fantasy movie about anything. Otherwise, pretty decent.

How It Ends (2018)

How's it end?!?!?
14 July 2018
This is one of those movies that you think at first, "Why isn't this in theatres?" Then you realize why...it's disjointed. It's odd. It's inconsistent. It keeps you guessing, but not in a good way....cus it NEVER answers ANY questions...other than. "What's up with the boat?!?"

How it ends is not even an ending.

Was it a natural disaster? Man-made? What? What's going on?

Up until 10 minutes to the end, I was thinking, "WOW! This should have been in theatres!" Then we discovered why.

I wouldn't waste your time with this movie.

Just darned good escapist fun
14 July 2018
'Skyscraper' is what it is. It's not the cleanest story, nor does it pretend it is. The movie is chalk full of action and you have to suspend disbelief a lot, but you know what? You have to in 'Die Hard' too, yet it's a movie that's loved by most.

Go see it. Have fun. No thinking needed. I promise. PLUS Neve Campbell is a B.A. in this!

Amazing Conception of Our Choices
6 June 2018
Warning: Spoilers
I think the reason RLR has a 7.7 rating is it's a foreign film and you have to read the subtitles. But that shouldn't deter anyone from seeing this. It's about the choices we make, how one simple, seemingly insignificant event can alter our entire life's course.

The simple act of stopping short of accidentally running into a person as you turn a corner alters your entire life. That one instance sends you in a different direction.

And that's the brilliance of RLR: It shows us how EVERY choice we make matters.

Potente is brilliant in this. I think it's her best role ever, in fact.
