Adams æbler (2005)
Simply amazing
Although I usually don't enjoy comedy movies, this one had me laughing repeatedly. It's just that good. A true masterpiece within the genre. Dark, twisted, funny and happy.
The Night Of (2016)
A surprisingly original series within the genre. I was pleasantly surprised and engaged in the plot..
A dark, realistic and well-written portrayal of how a single unfortunate occurrence can be life-shatterring for an individual, when caught in the grasps of the American Justice System, it's inhumanely harsh for-profit prison environment and disturbingly long sentencing - it is painfully sad to reflect this story onto reality.
I am saddened that season two was cancelled, although season one is, in itself, a well-rounded series.
If you like dark realistic crime series, you may like this. It is a simple plot, but it is significantly better and more believable than almost anything that comes out of Hollywood these days.
Very sad that season 2 was cancelled.
No Time to Die (2021)
A boring, empty storyline with no philosophical depth.
I would not recommend this movie to anyone. A complete waste of time. It had no substance. It was just action for the sake of action. As good as the visual effects were, as bad the plot and psychological thrill was. Just another empty Hollywood corpse of a story.
Fasandræberne (2014)
Continuously thrilling & amazing.
This second film is also exceptional. It is thrilling, dark, realistic and definitely worth watching. I rate this 8/10, because I found it to be more predictable than the movie before it. Still unfathomably great cinema, though. It's an awe that Hollywood does not produce movies like this. Scandinavian cinema like this are superb to 98% of anything that comes out of Hollywood, even though the budget pales in comparison. Amazing. Great. Breathtaking. Must-see.
Kvinden i buret (2013)
Scandinavian cinema is the best
Overall great. Dark, realistic and mysterious. This is truly a masterpiece and a breath of fresh air from the usual American cinema. It is much better - no doubt.
Bedrag (2016)
Uniquely brilliant, unpredictable and thrilling!
This is a one-of-a-kind masterpiece of a storyline, with never ending surprises. Each season changes plot, but as the story develops, the mystery unfolds and the characters intertwine in a brilliant fashion. This is class A nordic television that stands in stark contrast to anything provided by Hollywood. It is dark, subtle, humorous, thrilling, creative and yet realistic portrait of how big money operates in the most deceptive manner, including institutional fraud as well and drug trafficking. This is one of those few series that is near-impossible to stop watching, and O cannot applaud the directors and actors enough for this absolute masterpiece. Wow!
