The story itself I actually liked, the pace was a bit strange at times but for the most part it is a time travel story, most critique the fact that it's a boring premise, but I disagree, the story is about Emma realising what was happening around her. I do think that they needed at least 2 more episodes, they leave you off with this strange ending that doesn't resolve anything. Like did the divorce? Why is he following her? The last bit talks of revenge and it's like...? Then it shows Ruben who almost has a look on his face as if he knows her and they both drive off in the same direction. A secret meet up? Are they involved and this whole thing was real? It just didn't make sense. What was on the chip? If it was just a basic thing, why do we see him going under fire? Why do we see the listening device planted at the parents house? Like it just DOESN'T MAKE SENSE.

What happens when you only read cliff-notes

This was...awful. There was no chemistry between the leads at all and the story barely followed the actual plot. They made a movie that had no twist or turn, past loves to " let's be friends"??? There was very little feelings of betrayal and they took out the major issue (the fathers attachment to a woman of no class) and the effects resulting in it with the cousin. There was no plot! This movie went from 5 minutes of " this could be good" to a more and more boring rendition of nothingness. Without the hardships and the families drama there is nothing to hope for. Waste of time honestly just don't.

This is a very similar style movie as the shop around the corner, the good old summertime, and you've got mail. ( please eat those instead). But the thing that drove me the most crazy was not the lack of chemistry or their constant signing at EVERYTHING, but the constant voice texting....why, why is the movie voice texts ALL THE TIME like text, and have them narrate the text, not constantly just sending one line text via voice text. It was hard to watch this movie.
