Even better than "Making a Murderer"
20 February 2017
I'm not sure why this series isn't as well known as Making A Murderer. What an amazing insight into the story behind an accused killer who is such a strange and curios character. It's only a short series, but OH so worth it! I really like how the director and producer really probe Robert Durst with some real, juicy questions!

Amanda Knox (2016)

Not quite enough of a look into the story.
20 February 2017
This is a good documentary for a brief look into the infamous story of Amanda Knox, and I particularly like the way they have this led by interview pieces to camera with Amanda herself. However, I feel as though the documentary was almost slightly biased and didn't spend enough time looking into the other avenues of how the situation came about. It's worth a watch for sure, Amanda is an odd and interesting character to watch, but don't expect edge-of-seat gripping.

Truly thought-provoking.

If there was one documentary that has propelled modern society into the recognizing of captured animals, this is it. I watched this in honest shock that so much of this sort of news had been completely absent from the media in my adult years, with people in their masses only beginning to condemn companies like SeaWorld in the last couple of years. The documentary is a sad, but eye opening insight into the story of animals in captivity. Must watch.

Casting is just fantastic.

Fell in love with this series. The costume, locations and casting is just fantastic and I felt as though the stories were very well portrayed. There wasn't one character in there that I didn't think was cast perfectly. Such a shame that the story line couldn't last much longer! Here's to hoping there's a series 2 in the pipeline.

Dark, mysterious, thought-provoking!

I really enjoyed the OA. Having heard some criticisms from friends, I didn't go in with high opinions, but I thought the narrative was great as well as the whole concept behind the film. The ending is certainly thought-provoking and requires some brain power to understand it, so it's certainly not a "mooch" film!
