Blue Streak (1999)

It's a Martin Lawrence movie, so focus on the laughs.
11 July 2017
Almost all Martin Lawrence's movies fail at delivering something original or decent plot wise. So I wasn't expecting to be impressed by this movie. Honestly, the only redeeming quality to this movie was Martin's hilarious performance in this entire movie! That itself was enough for me to keep me watching this. I will admit, I did chuckle at a lot of scenes! But I still would recommend it to friends!

Movie: Average Humor: Excellent

Johnny Bravo (1997–2004)
9/10
Bravo Cartoon Network! Bravo!!
15 May 2017
While Johnny Bravo is not above Dexter's Lab and Powerpuff Girls, I would say it's pretty darn close!! As little boys, we all wanted to be an mini Johnny Bravo because most of us believe that's what women like. But in the show, Johnny Bravo fails in every attempt to try to win a girl over. Giving us the belief of what NOT to do when trying to get a date. Even if you are a macho man with muscles of a god, or handsome features of a Bachelor. Adults will love this cartoon for it's inner adult humor as much as children who will love this cartoon for Johnny's personality and slapstick humor! One of Cartoon Network's best shows until today! India even praises this show!

Be Cool, Scooby-Doo! (2015–2018)
7/10
Finally! An interesting reboot out of so many!
14 April 2017
Went to my local Barnes and Nobles store to look for childhood cartoons that I can hold on to and ended up buying this DVD with some others because I wanted to give something modern a try. The art style made me feel like this was going to be another forced Scooby- Doo project since Warner Bros. have been overdoing Scooby-Doo since the DC's New 52 started. The art is lazy and I believe DC and Cartoon Network are getting lazier as time moves on. I mean look at horrific Teen Titans Go cartoon. But I was hoping this DVD wasn't a waste of time and money.

Now, the show as a whole. Man, I have to eat my words for a moment and say that this is pretty comical! The art for some reason actually does fit the goofiness of it! I was surprised by how much I'd laughed while watching the gang slip up from one gag to another in just seconds! Fast-paced and unusual! Daphne who was once my least favorite character suddenly became my most favorite character! She isn't like she was in her previous incarnations but rather a fun, adventurous, goofy type and I'd thought Shaggy and Scooby were the best of the gang!

Episode 1: Decent Episode 2: Pretty Good Episode 3: GREAT!! This is where I was laughing the most!

My suggestion is to watch episode 3! That one is my favorite so far!

A cartoon movie well-made!
9 April 2017
This movie is actually great! I wasn't expecting it to be as good as it was! I didn't grow up watching the Jetsons at all. So I couldn't compare it to the actual cartoon but part of me wishes I did. The music was pretty catchy and it's heart felt moments made me wish I was a kid watching this! I love that cute little guy Elroy! He was my favorite!

Reminder, this was made in the 90's. Obviously flaws but that doesn't matter. This movie with it's flaws made it great! The message of the movie is that family comes first! That's what matters!

Sonic Boom (2014–2017)
5/10
Sonic Boom is only starting a light fuse.
5 April 2017
Sadly easily forgettable but it's okay sometimes.

It tries too hard to be funny and fast-pace and that's where it's downfall is at. The voice acting for Amy is acceptable but Sonic, Tails & Knuckles are off by a lot. In the show, they are all suppose to be young teens but the voice acting makes them sound like grown adults trying to be teenagers. This is by far my biggest issue with the show! The plots are decent enough to get by but the writers could add a little more detail into it.

But some of the jokes did deliver and some others, not so much.

Totally Spies! (2001–2014)

Questionable Message But Certainly Fun!
5 April 2017
I believe girls will be able to relate to this because there are girls who go boy crazy all the time. While this approach is risky and sometimes parents may or may not accept it, I think this cartoon did well in being within the age limits and it's added action is enough to make boys like it too. I'm not going to lie, I had a little crush on Alex when I was growing up! Maybe that's why I kept watching this show. Overall, good cartoon!

Robot Chicken (2001–2022)

Tries too hard
29 March 2017
Robot Chicken started off good but then it started getting really desperate later on. I remember when this show first aired on Adult Swim and I was thinking, "This should great to watch!" and it was because it was fast-pace, unusual & original. But as seasons went on, the show started to turn into another forgettable show in my library of cartoons because of how random it became and how a lot of the jokes are sex- related. Some sex humor is okay, but too much is a sign of desperation. I will recommend watching it if it's in your taste for random humor but you may not like it. I would much rather watch Harvey Birdman or Sealab 2021!

A fan of Hanna Barbera or Cartoon Network will enjoy this!
29 March 2017
Harvey Birdman is a great parody of Hanna Barbera classics! You know you are not a true Hanna Barbera fan if you didn't laugh at the jokes and wacky humor behind this series! The characters are all lovable! I can't say much about the series but that it's one of Adult Swim's finest cartoons ever! You need to at least give it a look!

Family Guy (1999– )
8/10
A great show that needs to end before it starts getting more worst than it already is
27 March 2017
Family Guy certainly is a outstanding show with genius jokes and a bunch of quotable moments. Seth really puts one hell of an effect in these episodes he puts out!! There were even some heart-felted moments that made the show even more enjoyable to watch! Yeah! It's that good! But this show main problem is that most of that was in it's early seasons. Later seasons have became seriously more violent and more ridiculous than ever before! There are no insightful jokes but more of just randomness that goes against some of Family Guy's origins that made it good in the first place! I know not everyone is going to agree with me on this but the show has already passed it prime! It needs to end!

Samurai Jack: Episode XCII (2017)
Season 5, Episode 1
10/10
Jack is still as charming as he was during his youth
19 March 2017
You have no idea how much I wanted to see this!! Even though I don't watch TV as much as I used to, this episode made me go back to watching TV. Samurai Jack is back and looks better than ever!

This episode does take a more serious tone unlike the other episodes. Yes, there have been serious episodes in the past but not like this. Jack is still struggling with the past and fighting to save his loved ones! There was one thing missing though. Where is the humor?! Oh wait, the first bad guy he fought was a laughable character but in a good way though.

Humor - Check Action - Check Storyline - Check Emotional Depth - Check

I NEED MORE SAMURAI JACK!!!!

Ed, Edd n Eddy (1999–2008)

Dedication = Ed Edd n' Eddy
14 March 2017
Ed Edd n' Eddy stay true to it's 90's feel for a decade to show you how great the 90's was. You would seriously need to be dedicated to your work to keep a cartoon going for as long as Ed Edd n' Eddy did and still keep your charm. This is the longest running Cartoon on Cartoon Network, one of the longest running cartoons in general and also the last original Cartoon Cartoon to end. Ed Edd n' Eddy is a blast to watch and deserves all the praise it gets!

Courage the Cowardly Dog (1999–2002)
10/10
The creator was different and made something different
14 March 2017
Courage the Cowardly Dog isn't one of the shows that all children would love but for the ones that do, they love it forever. The creator, John Dilworth is nothing like the other cartoonists. Judging by what he does outside from Courage the Cowardly Dog, he can come off as being creepy and unusual but that's what I love about him. He's different and doesn't care. I believe this cartoon is representing himself in a way because he has a thing for unusual- ness.

It's horror/humor theme isn't like Scooby-Doo. It goes beyond that using a mixture of 2D and 3D art styles. The 3D animation is creepy and sometimes scary for even adults. Most of it is also unpredictable. But somehow it still remains true to being children- friendly. This could be because the show is giving some life lessons but in a unique way of doing it. Either way, Courage The Cowardly Dog is still one of Cartoon Network's best shows and I can only hope for something in the future.

Codename: Kids Next Door (2002–2008)
8/10
The Kids Next Door are invited to my review party!
14 March 2017
The personalities are strong in KND! This makes KND a delight to watch because kids can relate to at least one character whether it's one of the 5 main cast members or the characters outside the treehouse. It's wild and full of adventure! Number 1 is actually one of my favorite kids because he's all about hard work and doing missions. Knowledgeable, agilie, cool as heck and a good sense of humor at times! He's like the Robin in Teen Titans but the child version. If you haven't seen Codename: Kids Next Door, please give it a try at least.

Suicide Squad (2016)
2/10
The Squad is full of bad guys!
14 March 2017
Warning: Spoilers
Poorly written. Boring/annoying characters with no emotional depth. I know a lot of people only watched it for Joker & Harley but it's called Suicide Squid for a reason. Harley felt like a bad excuse for humor. Every serious scene ends with Harley saying something. A very forced move to the whole movie. Much the movie itself was forced and rushed to the point where it felt confusing. Diablo calling his crew, "family". Uhhh.... who was the genius that thought this was a good idea? The Enchantress is a bad villain. Failure

Repetitive plots and jokes but some gold in the chest.
11 March 2017
It's not exactly the "best" cartoon series but it's not the worst either. It's has some ups and downs but I am fine with that because I did like the idea of the "Zelda world" being in a series and the characters interacting with one another. It's like my childhood dreams come true! It's stories do get repetitive. Princess in trouble, save princess and so on. Some episodes I will admit were decent like the Singing Unicorn. Some good action scenes too! All in all, it wasn't too bad but it's just needed something more creative.

Dexter's Laboratory (1996–2003)
10/10
Cartoon Network's Best Cartoon!
11 March 2017
Dexter's Lab is one of the greatest cartoons I have ever seen as a kid! And still great to watch even today! There is not one thing I dislike about it but the fact it ended! Every character has it going on, from the boy genius Dexter to the hyper dancer Dee-Dee to the other boy genius Mandark to the funny Dad and Mom! Seems like all the characters on this show were developed to a point where it's hard not to like them! All different yet, all great! It's not only great for kids but great for adults. Heck, even Coolio enjoyed this show to the max! A+

This is the kind of thing Cartoon Network needs back, the charm that Dexter had!

Sometimes goes too far but in my generation, it was okay.
11 March 2017
Warning: Spoilers
This is not a cartoon that most kids or adults would enjoy today because it could be offensive. But everything else about this cartoon was pretty darn good! It's like the jokes just never stop coming in each episode! It's as if that creator didn't care how far he could go to make a funny cartoon and still enjoyable today. At least to me! This is indeed worth the watch and I can only hope something in the future comes to past!

It's charm doesn't shine as well as it could have but it's enough to get pass
10 March 2017
I bought this DVD because I was looking for something a little different than my typical Cartoon Network Collection of Golden Era Cartoons. Always been a fan of Powerhouse Cartoon Network and always been true to that era. But enough about me, this is a review.

It's kind of reminds me of some of those old barbie cgi cartoons as a kid but unlike those cartoons something was just missing. This movie sometimes seems like they are trying too hard to be emotional at times. Even the characters sometimes seem to be putting off an "forced" joke but besides this, the movie did well at making the characters likable without having to go down the road that Teen Titans Go did. The artwork was pretty good too!! Kids will probably get a kick out of it!

One of the very rare movies that is so dumb but still genius work
9 March 2017
If you are looking for excellence, you are not going to like this movie! But you are looking for laughs strictly without having to turn your brain on, this movie is just for you! Kung Pow oddly enough has likable characters, funny voice acting & dumb but somehow great jokes! Whole idea of this movie was to make it dumb on purpose but still laughable. It's not like Date Movie, Scary Movie or Jack & Jill where those movies are just bad comedies with bad jokes with little effort put into them. The creator put his heart into this and it came out golden! And to add to this great review, I saw this as a kid, found it funny! I recently saw this and I found it much funnier than those 15 years ago! Usually as adults, we don't find those same things as good as it was as a child but this is one of the few times I'd enjoyed something more in my 20's! GREAT JOB, STEVE!!

The Powerpuff Girls (2016–2023)
1/10
This reboot needs the boot!
1 March 2017
I have been a massive fan of the Powerpuff Girls since I was around 6. Even today, I will watch Powerpuff Girls when I feel like being a child again! Hell, I even bought the DVDs! Being a 90's baby with this cartoon (of course other amazing cartoons) made my childhood fun!

Now, I understand this is a new generation and kids today are different than the kids born in the 90's but........

This is reboot is a failure!

Why do you say? Here's why! It's simply inappropriate! The first episode I saw, Once Upon a Townsville, there was a scene where a grown woman was kissing Buttercup (the green one)!! IN GOD'S NAME WHAT THE HELL!!! Did Cartoon Network really think this was a good idea!? Kids are watching this! Another episode I saw where the girls are also twerking! THEY ARE LIKE 5 YEARS OLD! Kids today are already thinking about sex, don't make it any worst!!

This reboot needs to be cancelled right away! At least Teen Titans Go didn't go this far!

Teen Titans Go! (2013– )

Teen Titans Go?! More like Teen Titans No!!
1 March 2017
This is by far one of the worst cartoons I have ever seen in my life! The supply of jokes is lazy and poor! It's almost like the whole show is one forced idea with forced jokes! I am pretty sure even Cartoon Network knows that this show is ridiculous and unfunny to the point of "I wish this never existed". But the question still remains, why are they showing it so much?! Cartoon Network has this show on almost the entire day! We are talking about 2-3 hours of Teen Titans GO with 2- 3 hours of Amazing World of Gumball and then another 2-3 hours of Teen Titans GO again with some other shows that come in the schedule but most of them only get 30 minutes to an hour of airtime! Cartoon Network needs to change their ways really quickly!

Edited: By the way, I started watching a couple more episodes because I was hoping for something better but now I can see they are promoting bullying and stupidity. You hear that kids?! If you are a stupid bully who picks on kids smaller than you, you will be a very successful adult in the future! So keep screaming and while making dumb jokes while you are beating other kids because it's totally funny and acceptable!

I seen some pretty bad shows but at least those shows don't tell kids to be an a**hole!
