A joyless, fuming, provocative but ill-conceived essay on the perennially-loathed patriarchy, featuring an unsubtle set of caricatures instead of characters and a lazily sensationalistic plot by which its central theme can be sledge-hammered on the audience's head like a hellfire sermon spat in its direction from the directorial pulpit. A heaving chest of a film, indignant and outraged - a snarling dream with a dream's logic and easily-disippated substance.

A splendid time capsule. We meet the poor, oppressed college liberals and leftists held down by nasty, stuffy reactionary right-wingers. If only someone would let them speak! Surely, in the decades to come, when leftists came to dominate every segment of Academia, they would never dream of doing the exact same thing to conservatives! No, no!

Bereft of wit, coarse, unpleasant, mean-spirited - and, what's infinitely worse, it simply isn't funny. If you're going to be provocative and controversial in comedy you better have something to back up your ambitions or it will fall horribly flat, as this miserable excrement from HBO amply demonstrates. Another run-of-the-mill, irreverent, profanity-laced animated series full of cheap shots and cliches and a complete lack of originality. Bad-writing, ugly character designs: an overall bulging bag of garbage masquerading as a fun, satirical comedy.

It's trying to be something but it doesn't work. The writing is stale, the characters are cardboard and it's all horrendously predictable. You can see supposedly 'shocking' or sultry outcomes approaching a hundred miles away. If your eyeballs are in need of some exercise via constant rolling then by all means give this show a watch.

Quite possibly the unfunniest thing in the world.

If you're going to make a parody, at least try and be funny. A little nuance, a little subtlety and wit really makes one appreciate your spin on something incredibly famous. But no, the viewer is force-fed a reeking, lumpy slurry of the typical lazy variety (e.g. farts and people pulling faces) all done in that cheap, childishly exuberant manner seen all too often in low-budget American comedies.

This is the sort of movie to make you hate yourself and existence itself. It's downright insulting to think any viewer would be so moronic as to find its forced and pointless attempts at comedy genuinely humorous.

Time is the most precious thing we have and if you value precious things, avoid this paper bag of vomit masquerading as a movie at all costs.
