Deserves an academy award best picture Best screen play Best direction It is that good

This picture has it all. Rich storytelling looking at two cultures from different perspectives love story with metaphysical overtones.

I don't know what this is Celine Song first film and I certainly hope it's not her last. She could teach a master class on how to become an a auteur.

Anyone who's has a first love in their childhood or teens can certainly appreciate the range of emotions that come in to play when they meet again with their crush. Sometimes longing and sometimes great relief that they did not choose them.

It is called life.

Start off showing breathtaking poor judgment by lead character

Unlike his ancestor James Dutton, from 1883, John Dutton is an idiot. In the first episode, he attempts to retrieve a bunch of cattle from an Indian reservation. Rather than negotiating, he chooses to use force, using a helicopter, Land Management officers, and horsemen to attack the Native Americans. In the process his son is killed, and another son is forced to kill his wife's brother and is now being investigated for murder. Way to go John. I will continue to watch and see if he continues to use poor judgement as in the first episode.1883 was an authentic western with a magnificent story and characters. We will see about this.

Couldn't get over the premise

Couldn't get over the premise. Watch the first episode and found it absolutely ridiculous. There's no way that blind people could do what these people do.

How do you find a horse that's run away from you? How do you know who is friend or foe?

How do you slay an animal when you can't see it?

A population of blind people in a Paleolithic environment what produce mass starvation.

Perry Mason (2020–2023)

HBO spent 74 million and its worth every nickel

HBO spent 74 million on this series. The production values are extraordinary. Every scene is a masterpiece of period design and costuming. The story is compelling and the acting is outstanding and the directing is superb. When award season comes I hope that it sweeps them all away.

War Machine (2017)

Great movie

The other reviews don't get it. It is not a comedy. It is a satire based on the the truth. The scene with the German politician Tilda Swindon was worth watching the movie. The whole movie is a testament to the ridiculousness of our being in Afghanistan after we kicked Al Qaeda out. Pitt was over the top, which I liked, particularly showing the general's ambition. McChrystal is doing quite well right now actually.
