I was disappointed with the movie but maybe that was based on what I had expected from the book. I felt like the book takes you on a journey and there are lots of ups and downs and the movie just felt like it included the main plot points but skipped the rest and just felt overly simplified. It was definitely adapted for a younger audience which was a bit disappointing as I think the whole book revolves around subject matter and scenes that are meant to be for more mature audience members. I still think it was good in its own right and I would probably have enjoyed it more if I hadn't of read the book

I don't like to give bad reviews, but this movie was terrible. Don't bother watching.

I felt like this movie didn't really have a plot. It was all about planning and doing a heist. There were not plot twists and after the heist was complete there was no follow up on what happened. I feel like there was more effort put into guest appearances than the actual storyline. It wasn't bad, just didn't bring any emotion/shocking moments/sad moments/exciting moments.

I was only 5 when the first movie came out and I'm 20 now so I rewatched the first movie with my sister(8yr). I absolutely loved the second movie even more than I did the first! The were deeper meanings scattered throughout the movie and issues like gender equality in the workplace and parenting roles touched upon in the movie. The jokes were hilarious and the action, music and storyline were great. However, the plot was similar enough to the first movie when you step back a bit. Worth the 14 year wait.

Sometimes films have deeper meanings to them and adult jokes throughout, but this one certainly didnt. I (20yr) went with my 8yr old sister who enjoyed it but wasn't raving about it. We went to see the Incredibles 2 earlier this month which was much better than this. However, if you're looking for a nice PG film to keep the kids entertained during the summer than this movie is what you're looking for.
