Only Mine (2019)
If only the lead actress could actually act...
... we might've had a better movie. I said "might've"... Plot was somewhat interesting, and the other actors did fine with what they had. But the lead actress is just terrible, sorry but it's true. And I'm not sure how in such a "small town" no one, except her mother and 1 coworker, believes her? And he was supposedly so terrible to his ex girlfriend, yet she still lives close by? They were going out for what, a whole week? Then he just lets out his psychotic ways? Towards the end I was only half watching it, just to see how it ends because, you know, why not... but overall, pretty bad. Don't waste your time.
Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters (2013)
Better than the reviews are saying
Cool story, cool actors, dark twist on a childhood tale, awesome fight scenes, and perfectly timed one liners (corny, maybe, but funny). Very violent and dark, but that's what makes it an adult version of a "fairytale" type of story.
Not sure why the reviews aren't better...
Karen (2021)
Probably the worst movie ever made, but...
... as someone else said, if you go into this prepared for an awful, ridiculous movie and watch it as a "comedy", then you'll be entertained. Watch it with friends, have some drinks/pot whatever... and you'll be howling and having a great time. It's awful, but entertainingly awful. I'm actually kind of stunned they even made this "movie"...
Strange But True (2019)
Way better than the reviews
This was a good movie. Very interesting, a plot twist I didn't see coming, good acting and lots of mystery and suspense. I even had some tears in my eyes at the end. Definitely deserves a higher rating than 5.9! Come on people. Definitely worth a watch.
Wounds (2019)
What did I just watch??
I'm all for a "weird" or unique film... even if it's not fully explained in the end. But this... THIS... is something else, and not in a good way. I only gave it 5 stars because Armie and Dakota are great, and the beginning starts out decent and somewhat interesting, but even the actors can't save this movie. NOTHING, and I mean NOTHING, is explained in the end. It's basically like "hey let's throw in a bunch of scary, gross, frightening clips of things, but have none of it make any sense and nothing is revealed"... who said "ok great! Let's make that movie!"??... Lots of cockroaches, severed heads, creepy scenes and great acting from Armie but that's about it. (Why did he even make this movie??) Watch it ironically with someone so you can laugh about it together afterwards. Otherwise, just skip it.
Secret Obsession (2019)
I mean, my god that was bad...
A god awful Lifetime original movie is basically what this is. Nothing was explained.
- who was the mysterious man with the flowers?? (They insisted on playing cliched creepy music every time he appeared on screen. They had him killed off... but who the hell was he?!)
- Jen was also a lock picking mastermind apparently?
- No one noticed the real Russell was missing? What about Jen's parents? Not one neighbor noticed their overflowing mailbox or smelled their rotting corpses??
- Fake Russell kills off everyone in her life basically but yet keeps her drivers license right in his wallet?? Yes, that makes total sense.
- Fake Russell is able to kill multiple people, trick people into believing Jen is his wife but yet can't photoshop a picture properly? Come on...
- how did the detective eventually find the cabin in the woods?
- the nurse just happened to run into Fake Russell in a parking lot? To which he doesn't respond to her yelling "Mr. Williams" but he went through the trouble of changing the family's name sign on the front of the cabin to "The Williams"... huh? Guess he forgot that was his new name...?!
- the detective says he tried to give Jen the note from Russell in the hospital but she was already discharged... but he didn't even get the note from her coworker until much later, and he KNEW she had been discharged... ???
- The unnecessary subplot involving the detectives daughter...
Game of Thrones: The Last of the Starks (2019)
Not for the feeble minded
... which, unfortunately, are the ones writing most of these reviews.
Yes, I'm angry that Rhaegal was killed - brutally I might add. Completely unnecessary in my opinion. But, Jon mentions that Rhaegal wasn't in great shape after the battle - that alluded that something might happen.
Yes, I'm angry that Jon didn't say an official goodbye to his wolf, Ghost. I didn't understand that. That's not like Jon at all. He's loving, sensitive and Ghost has always been loyal to him. The writers definitely dropped the ball in that scene.
Yes, I'm angry Missandei was killed. That was pretty hard to watch. However, I honestly didn't see that coming. So even though it was upsetting, I liked the shock value in it... and her last word was pretty damn cool (aka "light them up Dany").
I hate Cersai. Can't even describe the hate I have for that C word. I just hope she dies a brutal death and I'm hoping Jamie is the one to kill her.
I also hope Euron dies painfully and slowly.
I'm also not thrilled with the way they're writing Dany right now. I feel like they're trying to make us hate her, but personally it's not working. I actually feel even more sad for her. I want her to prevail.
The negative reviews are mostly coming from a bunch of whiny cry babies who have nothing else going on in their lives and aren't smart enough to understand that George RR Martin himself is a producer of the show and is very much involved in the story. I'm not sure what these people expect.
They don't understand what goes into writing for a show's finale, a show that is based on books and said books haven't even been written yet...
No, it's not perfect. Yes, there are some flaws here and there. But it's definitely not bad either.
The Walking Dead: How It's Gotta Be (2017)
Great episode! Don't know why the bad reviews...
This was a great episode. I have no idea why there are so many bad reviews. Lots of intensity, great acting and of course the reveal at the end of the episode. This is the Walking Dead. I admit, this season has been the weakest in some ways, but this episode brought back what we love about this show.
The Walking Dead: Some Guy (2017)
So tired of the haters. Go away.
First off, to the haters who have been saying things like "how is the show still on" and "it's because of the people giving these episodes good reviews that the show is still on"... do you not want the show to be on? Yes, maybe this season is a little weaker than the last few, but just stop with the negativity. Let us real fans just try and enjoy the show that we've loved for 7 seasons. If you don't like it, DON'T WATCH IT ANYMORE. And if you didn't feel sad over Shiva's death, then you've obviously have become numb to caring about these characters, so just stop watching. Shiva saved Ezekiel, Carol and Jerry (3 characters we all enjoy). And to watch her get eaten by walkers was devastating. Shiva is the first real animal character on the show, besides a few horses, that we've grown to love. There are several human characters that I'd like to see killed off (annoying Rosita, Gregory, Eugene). This episode had a lot of great kills (not Shiva), action and who doesn't love watching Daryl and Rick team up and regulate? Come on. Haters go away.
