Bullet Train (2022)
Loads of Action and Fun!
It was perfect timing that I was able to catch Bullet Train on a matinee after a shopping trip. I had no idea what the movie was about, except that it starred Brad Pitt. I had no expectations, but was so pleasantly surprised by how much I loved this movie. It actually delighted me and filled me with joy.
The acting is wonderful, I enjoyed the dialog, and laughed at the jokes and gasped out loud at some of the violence. There is something for everyone.
I always stay for the credits and you should too. Some surprises thrown in. However, reading some of the user reviews, I actually missed some of the cameos.
I definitely plan to see it again.
Hacks (2021)
Something to Laugh About
I newly downloaded HBO Max to my TV and found this gem of a series. I have only watched the first two episodes and I'm hooked. This is actually my first review on IMDB. Jean Smart is really great in her role and she looks perfect with or without her hairpiece! I love her clothes, her house & staff (hubba, hubba). Her young manager, who set up the clever pairing with out-of-work writer Ava (newcomer Hannah Endbinder - SNL Alumn Lorraine Newman's daughter), will leave you with a gut laugh every time the two of them hammer out great zingers to each other. Prayers 🙏 lifted up to Jean Smart, whose husband unexpectedly passed away while she finished the first season. Give Hacks a try, you'll be glad you did.
