The Fall Guy (2024)
Really enjoyed this movie
It was funny when It needed to be,serious when it needed to be, and great action scenes ..at first, I was perplexed about the leading role love match but it actually seemed to work very well! I also like that it wasn't over the top graphic, like some action movies Mostly lighthearted also minimal swearing to make it somewhat family friendly and they gave it somewhat of a wholesome feel to the movie. Also, I like how this movie wasn't afraid to make fun of itself .. I wish more movies were made like this now Is it seem like movies are just getting darker and darker. This one actually left you with high spirits.
Expats (2023)
Not easy to watch
As I'm sitting here with nothing else to do, I figured I'd look at the show that's been previewed on my TV. My first impression is holy cow Nicole Kidman Looks like a cat now. A cat with no emotions. I think she needs to settle down on the fillers. She can still look useful without as many . I'm really getting tired of these shows that are dark and move around to weird frames and you don't understand what's going on.. like others I've read here ,I have absolutely no emotional connection to any of the characters. I understand when you're grieving you are not acting right, but Nicole Kidman getting upset about her child drawing Jesus and then harboring on it in the middle of her party was strange and if there's meaning to it ,they should probably explain. Mercy is very unlikable. I don't know what it is about her, but I just did not connect with that character or actress. Nicole Kidman and her husband have no chemistry like others have mentioned, although I did kind of like his character. I don't know I just think that this would be a waste of your time to watch, and seems to be like they rushed it into production and something is missing.
The Locksmith (2023)
Wasn't great but watchable
With all the great actors listed, I was for sure this would be a treat. I saw a lot of comments that it was writing of the script and they are correct. This movie had a lot of potential, and it actually started off pretty decent, but they took it to diff place and added in a lot of nonsensical things. For one Kate and Ryan had absolutely no on screen chemistry.. it was almost as if they were playing brother and sister. I thought the lead bad guy was terrible in his role. Yeah he was unlikable but he didn't seem villain like even when he was doing bad things. And the whole
Plot with his dead best friend sister ,was very weak or poorly played or both . I gave this movie a four because I actually did watch the whole thing but I honestly feel like only Kates acting was worth watching.
God's Not Dead 2 (2016)
The Insanity of 2023 called out in 2016
It's almost as if God gave the writers the foresights to make this movie. What is happening now in left leaning political states, is exactly what happened in this "pre Covid" movie. It's very telling the atheist that came here to write bad reviews on this movie. And very telling of how our world has changed. So many people need prayer. They are lost in the shallowness of this world. Being eaten up by it even. I feel deeply sad for these people and hope they make amends before it's their time to leave this earth. Both this movie and the first one explain very well why our world needs God and what happens when we turn our backs on him. Choose wisely.
