Another missed opportunity
1 October 2018
Cameron is sent to straight camp after being found kissing her girlfriend in a car. I really wanted to like this movie, but as often happens with gay movies the script didn't deliver. Cameron is not going to be broken, the head of the institution clearly has no idea what he's doing, one of the pupils hurts himself... all ideas that should have been developed, but are just delivered flat to the audience. Underwhelming.

Freud would be proud

This series is at first just bizarre... You are hooked, but you don't even know why. After a while it becomes a big journey in psychotherapy's land: schizophrenia, fear of loss, all your problems come from mum, reconnect with your inner self to solve Ali your problems and alike. Very heavy story wonderfully told. I give it only 9/10 because the last 2 episodes are a bit rushed and the end a bit too feel good for my taste.

Great classic in teen movies

I must have watched this movie over 10 times and it never disappoints. If you are looking for a feel good movie where the teen rebel boy and teen rebel girl turn out to be sweet kids and live happily ever after (or presumably till college time) this is for you.

The trailer will do

A black guy infiltrating the KKK? Wow, gotta watch it, will be so much fun!! That was my spirit going to the cinema. Coming out of it I am disappointed. This movie only delivers what was written on the tin: a black guy infiltrates the KKK... few funny moments here and there deserve it a 5 score, but that's it. Do yourself a favour: watch the trailer (great!) and save 90 minutes of your life.

I don't get it

Heist films are usually about a great intrigue, phenomenal bad guy-good guy pursuits or psychological twists. What was this about? Very linear all-against-all story, no twist what so ever and very very slow. The only thing I can conclude is that it must be so easy and dull to rob Hatton Garden that it's hard to make an exciting movie out of it... I may give it a crack next week end.

Great idea, poor delivery

A black guy infiltrating the KKK? I have to watch it, will be so much fun! That's the spirit with which I approached this movie. Unfortunately that's also the only comment I can give after watching it because there is really not much about this movie a part what's written on the tin. Do yourself a favour: watch the trailer (great, awesome) and save 90 minutes of your life. Few funny moments still deserve it a 5 score.

Desire of parenthood
1 October 2018
Eva and Kat are in their 30s. They live a perfectly Bohemian life on a barge that they periodically move along the Regents canal in London. The desire of parenthood felt by Eva and the arrival of Kat's best friend Roger will shake their lives. This film explores personal aspirations, affection and communication within a couple when role models are lacking. The result is a beautiful portrait and the certainty that life can be what we make of it.
