FUNNY AS HELL
10 December 2021
Kinda starts slow, but it's hilarious! Joseph has to be the best part of the show. His timing and quirks crack me up. David Schwimmer plays a doucher version of Ross, which makes Joseph look so much more funnier.

Staging Christmas (2019 TV Movie)

Why did I DVR this?
13 December 2019
I understand it's suppose to be a corny Christmas movie, but the acting is so poor. George and the other girl, from Sabrina the Teenage Witch, are good actors. So it was so surprising that they fell flat. There just wasn't chemistry or a spark between them. The little girl was the best actor out of the entire movie.

It just didn't play on my heartstrings as much as I expected it to be. The eye contact and connection seemed forced and not real.

I love George Stults, but this is getting deleted from my DVR.

High Society (1956)

Classic Musical
22 October 2019
Warning: Spoilers
If you're looking for a Hollywood Classic, High Society is the movie to watch!

High Society is a musical based on the original movie "The Philadelphia Story" with Katherine Hepburn, James Stewart and Cary Grant.

High Society stars A-List actors, actresses and singers such as: Frank Sinatra, Bing Crosby, Grace Kelly, Celeste Holms and Louis Armstrong. All these amazing entertainers put on a power house performance. Not only that, but the music is extremely catching and meaningful.

The beginning of the movie opens up with Armstrong scatting a summary about the movie. A high class, entitled woman (Kelly) is engaged to a very dull but high powered man. With Tracy's ex-husband (Crosby) living next door she is annoyed and distracted by his music and surprise appearances. In addition to her ex-husband's surprise appearances, two journalist (Frank Sinatra and Celeste Holms) from "Spy Magazine" came for not only the story of Tracy's wedding, but for the scandal that her father might be having an affair.

Thus begins a love triangle between Grace Kelly (Tracy), Frank Sinatra (Mike) and Bing Crosby (Dexter.) Along with Celeste Holms's character longing for Mike, but too proud to speak of it. Tracy's soon-to-be husband is feeling left out and in turn wants to keep her caged up. This drives Tracy to do immoral and questionable acts such as swimming in a pool with someone other than her fiancé. Or receiving loving/ thoughtful gifts from her ex-husband, reminding her that being married to him was something she loved. It makes her question everything, her front that she puts on for the journalists, her previous actions and her love for Dexter.

Throughout the movie there are hit songs like, "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire", "Samantha", "True Love" and the famous duet with Bing and Frank "Didja Ever?" With each song more catchier than the other.

As for the storytelling and "behind-the-scenes" parts of the movie, the set design was magnificent. Some of the parts in the movie were actually filmed on location. The outfits were diverse, at one point Tracy was wearing a khaki jumpsuit and then changed into this beautiful southern bell gown. Each character has a different color tone, matching the personality and feelings of the actor/actresses.

All in all, a great movie.

"End of Story!"

A Let Down!
2 August 2019
Warning: Spoilers
In the beginning of the movie, it was exciting and educational about what was going on in the world outside of the March Family. All the sisters seem to have each others backs, even though they fought often. The movie is extremely long and the acting is very good, but the story-line was a complete let down.

It started out with Jo being dedicated to her writing and set on the fact that she was to be seen as an independent woman. With her sisters by her side, entertaining her theatrical outburst. Then Laurie came into play and there was chemistry, which if you ask me there was more chemistry between Peter Lawford and June Allison in the original.

But, even in the original the ending and middle of the movie was a let down. I didn't like that Jo's character was harshing criticized by the professor and she allows it. I wish she would have accepted Laurie's hand the second time instead of being stubborn. Even worse than that though, I hated how Laurie and Amy ended up together when Laurie is in love with Jo and Amy is her sister!!

Just not a happy ending at all!

Last Man Standing (2011–2021)

Tim's got the humor, but leave out the politics
11 August 2017
This show started out great! It's suppose to be a twist of Home Improvement from three boys to three girls. I enjoy all the guest stars from Home Improvement or the references to Toy Story or Santa Clause. Honestly the topics Mike was talking about started to remind me of my father, "how a man should act" "how a man should treat a woman" "If I ever were to get pregnant" "we're not quitters" "men are pigs" I mean the list could go on.

But then after the first and second season I was getting a bit annoyed with the constantly slamming of Obama and praising of Romney. Then with the father of Boyd coming back really annoyed me. I mean put yourself in Mike, Vanessa or Kristen's position, would you accept Ryan again? It just didn't seem realistic or a good message to send to younger women.

Speaking of woman, it really annoys me that the men in this show make the women of the show seem dumb. Mike undermines his wife, always proves her wrong when really she has some good points. Vanessa has to clear big decisions with Mike, but he's allowed to make life changing decisions on his own. Same with Ryan. Ryan says, let's not teach Boyd about religion but Kristen was raised on the Christian beliefs. Ryan says let's go vegan and Kristen goes along with it. Ryan says let's home-school Boyd, Kristen doesn't question then fact that it may create some social issues.

Kyle does not count, in fact it annoys me that they make Kyle so so unintelligent. Kyle is known as the nice guy, so does that mean nice people are dumb? Kinda was getting on my nerves. And Ed, aka Joe (Princess Diaries), is the lovable grumpy old man. Him and Kyle are honestly my favorite, they kinda give me that J.D./ Dr. Cox relationship.

But, don't get me wrong I still watch the show, on Netflix, and I like the guest stars and funny puns. I like some of the messages Mike says during the end of the show like about never give up. It's a pretty good show and I want to see my favorite couple get their happy ending.

Meh. If you're not into corny....or sad

Okay, when I first saw this summary I thought maybe I could relate. Being a city girl, it seemed cute that a boy would go after her. However, the summary and the actual story line don't seem to match up. This is about a struggling singer trying to get her big break and about a guy who has experienced a lot in his life. And the main girl on the cover is barely even in the movie, I was so confused about that.

Anyway, after realizing that this is a musical I kinda chuckled a lot. It just didn't give me that musical vibe from the first 5 minutes then bam, the brother is breaking into song.

As for the acting, it could definitely be better, but the voices are killer. I actually bought some songs as a result of watching the movie. If these actors were as good at acting as they are singing, we'd have a gold mind right here.

I actually recommended it to a friend, if you like cheesy movies then you'll def love this.
