Beartooth (1978)
Terrible - horrible acting & bad filming
I have seen many films in my 66 years, but the acting in this one is easily the worst ever! The film quality is nearly equal to the acting. It has horrible contrast and little color. Scenes shot indoors have nearly all the shadows rendered black so all you see is a little of subjects face.
On the plus side, it was filmed in beautiful mountains in winter, with deep snow and nice winter scenes. It also has some good wildlife shots. It is too bad the film quality itself couldn't do justice to the wildlife.
The background music also drove me nuts. It featured some hillbilly banjo which would never be heard in any self respecting Montana venue.
Category 7: The End of the World (2005)
Series of monster storms are devastating the world.
The main story about monster storms caused by global warming, devastation around the world and the attempt to do something to stop them is entertaining.
However, it is way too long. Instead of 4 hours they should have made it two hours. The meat of the story could have been told in 2 with out being terribly boring.
The parts that needed cutting are most of the Evangelist sequences and the connected kidnapping. A little 'End of the World Doom Preaching' would have been OK but the over long and very boring kidnapping added absolutely nothing to the story which is supposed to be about fighting a monster storm. I found myself wishing they would get on with the main story.
If you see it via tape or DVD you will want to push the fast forward button through the above mentioned sequences
