Black Panther (2018)
Over hyped
I hate going to the office and had to tell people I love this movie. It just felt like politically incorrect to say that. A weird world we live in right?
Crazy Rich Asians (2018)
As an Asian, I am offended
Yeah, all Asians are rich am I right? We got no every day Joe struggles am I right? The only struggle we have is cultural difference am I right? What a rubbish respresentation of Asian community.
This film makes Asian community more dangerous. Give stupid kids and thugs more reason to rob and attack Asian community.
Aftermath (2021)
Not too bad
I jumped in after the first 15 mins or so and was told this is a murder movie with a lot of spooky emphasize on the closet. I knew immediately it's likely a person hiding behind the house wall.
I thought the acting wasn't that bad... I mean, I have definitely seen much worse.
Points off for predictability and some doesn't make any sense moments.
Mulan (2020)
Cringy
This movie is garbage. Mulan was a nobody. All of a sudden, she has these superpowers? The story was cringy and cheesy. If I want to watch Chinese drama storyline, I would have done so 10 years ago. This is disappointing for Disney especially when they have so many talented actors on the movie. Bad writing.
The Mandalorian: Chapter 14: The Tragedy (2020)
Weird script good action
Not sure why Mando kept storming jedi barrier. 3 times! One too many.
Mando has a lot of deadly weapons and yet he was told to relinquish his jet. It was an obvious foreshadowing.
2 squads of troopers couldn't do anything. I am sick and tired of seeing how useless they are.
The troopers retreated to their two big ships which are armed with big guns. Why didn't they simply use the ship to gun down Mando?
Space Force (2020)
Refreshing-Review for the three episodes
Almost turned off the TV the first few minutes because it was cringy and not funny. Glad I kept watching because it got better. The current references was refreshing to watch. It's a fun and different show. Worth watching. Definitely worth more than 6.9 rating.
Death by China (2012)
How can a biased film labeled as documentary?
Most of the film were off topic. They threw in anything that is negative about China but they are not related to trade and economy. It feels like the producers has nothing else to back up their claims and just threw in human rights issue and freedom of speech.
Manufacture jobs went away not because of China. They went away because the US companies found more cost efficient alternatives. If not China, it could have been Vietnam, Bangladesh, or other third world countries.
China has some really bad trade practices and that's why I hated Chinese companies and their government. BUT that is NOT the reason why you can't find a job in 2012 or why we don't make printers and fridge no more.
The fact that our income disparity is so great, it's basically inviting cheap products. How else are you suppose to satisfy the majority of low income earners in the US?
Stranger Things (2016)
Could be better
Season one was pretty okay. It didn't have the "wow" factor and I wasn't hooked but I was willing to give it another shot so I watched season two. Season two was full of nonsense that just doesn't make much sense. The smaller dots just don't connect right. The main story in season two was unrevealed early on so there goes the mystery and suspense. I lost interest midway through. I hope they come up with better story and one that makes sense in season three. I don't think I will be following this show.
30,000 Leagues Under the Sea (2007)
The beginning of the 4 minutes tell me everything about the movie..it sucks
The beginning of the 4 minutes tell me everything about the movie..it sucks. At first I thought it's going to be a really cool movie. When the captain open his mouth, all i heard is craps. NO FEELING AT ALL. Everyone in the movie was like reading from their script or something. WORST ACTING EVER. They chose the wrong people for the roles. Like the lieutenant, he doesn't look like a lieutenant to me, nor did her spoke like one. I assume these were some actors that got paid with minimum wages or something. Wasting time. It's like they are afraid we won't realize that those people are from the Navy, they have to put a BIG "Navy" tag on everyone's cloth. The director failed to make the plot more interesting, they just go directly to them.
