Harry & Meghan (2022)
Over privileged whinging
These two do not come across well at all. Very spoilt brats who clearly didn't get their own way so flounced off the America and started spreading their story (similar it seems to Trump - no matter what the lie, keep repeating it and some people will think it's true). Too many inconsistencies for them to be believable.
I think to demonstrate Thier lack of intelligence you need only look at their apparent pain and fury on discovering that there is a hierarchy in the royal family! Do they even know what a monarchy is? Want to be a prince and princess without having to do any of the boring duty stuff? Just want the titles and privilege? This is how they come across and it is sad to see some people are believing it.
Harry & Meghan: The Complete Story (2022)
Privileged whinging
I can't quite see how this with the demand for privacy and it all seems very inconsistent. Comes across as two prima donna's being told they can't have their own way so they flout off to the States and hurl childish abuse back. This totally detracts from any valid argument they might have had, so I end up not believing a word of it. Two immature and spoilt individuals coming across as not very intelligent I'm afraid. You have to laugh at the "shock" revelation that apparently there's a hierarchy in the royal family. Do they even know what a monarchy is? Of course there is a hierarchy, it's the royal family!
Stranger Things (2016)
This is still so enjoyable
Great storytelling, fantastic cast and 80's nostalgia make this great for teens and grown ups alike I'm an old duffer (excuse the pun) but have so far enjoyed every series (up to series four part one). I am really looking forward to watching it all again with my son who is approaching his teens.
Ghostbusters: Afterlife (2021)
A lovely nod to Harold and the original
I admit I was not looking forward to this. I was worried it would spoil very good memories of one and two which I enjoyed as a teenager and still enjoy today.
I finally succumbed and gave it a try. I was really pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed it. A good mix of new characters and a nod to the original story., including a lovely nod to Harold Ramis.
It's Ghostbusters so don't expect Nomadland but in that context, the performances are all great and the story moves along at pace. I think anyone who enjoyed the originals will enjoy this - a welcome distraction in a difficult time.
Black Widow (2021)
Good mix humour and action
Really good cast playing their parts well, (maybe a couple of dodgy Russian accents in there, but nothing worth getting hung up over). Thoroughly enjoyed this as a stand alone and also fits the MCU.
Anne (2022)
24 year fight for justice
Really well told story by a very talented cast - well worth watching whether you are familiar with the battle these families had to go through or not. All I can say is that for the scenes in public, they instantly brought back all the memories of those days very vividly.
Majo no takkyûbin (1989)
Animation good. Story meh.
Beautiful animation as you'd expect.
Nothing actually happens in the story that is not said in the title. The girl and her cat become very annoying after about six minutes.
Captain Marvel (2019)
I think I watched a different film
I enjoyed this and thought it fit well in the MCU. Jackson is great as you'd expect, and so is Larson and Mendelsohn. Story moves along at a good rate with a good mix of action and humour.
I'd suggest just enjoy the film for what it is
