The Best Man (2023)

Meh. I've wasted my time so you don't have to.

I'm actually only half way through, but so bored I needed something to do.

The acting isn't terrible but the writing really is.

So many eye roll moments in this movie.

So many cliched moments. "We've never had to use the panic room". Really?

The premise was really good but such a wasted opportunity.

The actors were under-utilised and not shown to their best abilities.

No humour or light moments at all. Or maybe there was and I didn't get the jokes?

There was no reprieve from the serious feeling of the movie. Either traumatic action or serious, dark moments with too much conversation but nothing really said.

This was truly terrible.

The Rookie: In Justice (2021)
Season 3, Episode 2
8/10
Watch all the way through...

Warning: Spoilers
I LOVED the first 2 seasons and binged them in a week. I'd read some of the reviews about season 3 and how down hill it went. I was going to give it the benefit of the doubt. I'm only half way through the second episode of season 3 and I'm really disappointed in the turn it has taken. It feels very divisive.

Update: Finished the episode - not as terrible as the original 3 I gave it. I love that it considered both sides.

Nope, just don't.

I loved the overdone acting, it was spectacular! The story was sweet and I managed to get through the whole movie. However, the over worded lyrics annoyed me greatly. The "let's stuff as many words into a song as possible so there's no musicality in them" songs were hard to appreciate but the auto tune was the absolute last straw. I didn't know if it was an homage to Cher's "Life after Love" or if the original singing was so bad they thought it was needed. And if the singing was that bad...??? I originally gave it a 1 but remembered I really liked Laura Marano from "Austin and Ally", and my 6 year old niece liked it, so I put it up to a 4.
