Love at Look Lodge (2020)
Bad writing and no chemistry
I agree with everyone who said there was zero chemistry between the 2 leads, and the writing was very poor. The setting was gorgeous. Someone suggested it was Grey House, I assume from Good Witch, but that building is in Dundas, Ontario. The Look Lodge location is actually a beautiful inn outside Ottawa in North Gower. It's called "Strathmere Resort and Spa".
You're Bacon Me Crazy (2020)
Obviously not Spring, too many flowers and poor writing.
I liked the 2 main characters, but not a lot of chemistry. The premise had promise- not as formulaic as most Hallmark movies. But..... every time anyone spoke outside you could see their breath on the air, so clearly not Spring in Portland. Too many flowers. They were everywhere, and over the top. Cleo won eligibility in the contest by making sandwiches- when she decides to throw away the bread and totally change her food truck menu and theme, should she have still been eligible to compete? They should have had her get rid of the sandwich theme after she won and started her restaurant. What did "little brother " do to afford that house?? Same with Cleo. Quite the digs for a food truck owner. Even for Hallmark, the end was cheesy and predictable. She wins the big prize and he wins the "best in show". Even the other way around would have been a little bit of a switch.
Christmas Jars (2019)
Great feel good story
I really enjoyed this movie. Well acted, with characters who were believable and sincere. The story was based on a best selling book, and had a more interesting plot than most recent Christmas movies. While the ending was predictable, it was so heartfelt and sweet, I had tears in my eyes.
Cherished Memories: A Gift to Remember 2 (2019)
Kinda predictable
Even though the storyline is typical Hallmark, predictable and cheesy, it warmed the heart as usual. But, what was Aiden wearing at both parties? Taffeta dresses straight from the 50's!! She had to hold the skirt on the first one together with her left hand in every shot! Looked very uncomfortable. 😀
Love at Sea (2018)
No chemistry and an empty cruise ship
I agree with many of the other reviewer's regarding the complete lack of chemistry between the two main characters, even though they are married in real life. I don't, however, agree with the comments regarding the movie being a great advertisement for the cruise line. In most of the scenes on board the ship, the ship appears empty. Views of the various decks show dozens of empty lounge chairs, while shots of the pool show virtually nobody swimming.
