Ever Watch Paint Dry?
31 August 2019
After watching this movie, I am certain that doing so was more torturous than attempting to stay awake for 11 days.

Open Season 3 (2010)
I Made It Through 26 Minutes...
5 February 2011
Just finished Open Season 1 and 2, so I felt obligated to watch the third. I will usually watch any movie through to the end, regardless of how bad (...if only to see exactly how bad it will get). But 26 minutes into this one, I stopped the movie to come here and read a few reviews.

Now usually, I feel that many people like to come to IMDb and slam movies just for the sake of being mean. But I must say; in this case, I agree with what most everyone else is saying here about this movie, and I don't feel bad that I won't be watching the rest.

The voices are the first thing that throw you off (they are different than the voice actors in the first two movies), then you notice the animation looks more like Saturday morning cartoons (fewer frames per second than feature length animation, less fluid), just not as funny. Watch for yourself if you feel the reviews here are unfair. After watching 26 minutes worth, I'd say most reviews here are being generous.

Don't Bother with the Non-3D Version
31 July 2006
Warning: Spoilers
Good luck staying awake for this movie, I barely did. The animation is interesting at times, but it takes too long to get to the point, and when it does you can't believe that's all there is to it. If you've seen the previews, then you've already seen all there is to see about this movie.

The movies main saving grace is that at times the animation almost appears to be real life. Some of the close-ups and character movement was done well. And actually, I didn't realize there was a 3D version. The 3D would have made this movie a lot better. But the non-3D version that I saw; you'd have better fun watching old Buggs Bunny and Roadrunner cartoons from Saturday morning. A huge disappointment!

Still Jerks Tears
24 November 2005
Warning: Spoilers
I've seen the play in NYC 4 or 5 times over the past 8 years, bought the OBC Soundtrack twice, after I wore-out my first one, and have taken 3 friends from around the country to see it on Broadway when they came to visit. In short, I LOVE THIS SHOW.

So I too was ready to be super critical of the movie, and was almost afraid to go see it, for fear it was going to kill a great memory. But rest easy, the movie is just as powerful as the play. And the music was just as good, if not better. I particularly liked the movie version of "Will I", but didn't notice till I got home that they didn't include "Goodbye Love" in the film.

Still a powerful tear-jerker too! The tears started flowing from the moment I heard the tinkle of that piano riff in the opening of "Seasons of Love". Can't wait for the DVD!
