Couldn't finish

Warning: Spoilers
It's pretty bad, I was sick of it after she was branded because nobody fights back. Sorry but I found it hard to fathom how the slavers wouldn't be overrun easily not to mention it would've been easy to set fires all around and alert authorities. It simply makes no sense to me and was absurd. Nothing is logical here it's crazy nonsense.

Better idea would've been to have this start then about 20 minutes in introduce ghosts of slavers and slaves battling to win on each side. Oh well

I actually really enjoyed this one, Lifetime never fails but this was exceptional fun! I absolutely adored Meg, she was the right dose of nuts and sillyness to make me just fall in love!

It's mindless fun!

Warning: Spoilers
Well if you like girls kicking butt this is your film! I don't mind the thing, there's certainly worse out there. Now all this exposition about how great girls are is abit over the top, I mean who's ever heard a man talk this way in any film? LOL It would be totally absurd! Games bond doesn't talk this way, he has way to much self respect to pass this diatribe around. What's crazy is the chicks are over the top, what is the reason to have all this woman stuff in it? I have no clue. I want to see a monster come out and eat half them lol

Warning: Spoilers
I love this movie, it's just so different than most westerns. The guys sister is not saved, he wants revenge then ends up messing up other plans. I did not really understand why the sister was raped so easily in a saloon I mean surely someone would've heard it and interfered. I also want to know why he left his sister there in the first place? It really made no sense to me because the ride to the ranch wasn't bad, they could've just stayed there instead? Well whatever it was still pretty entertaining though everyone was kinda stupid

Underwater (2020)
8/10
Awesome
13 January 2020
I've seen it twice and will probably be going a third time. This movie is not BAD, the opening dialog with her talking is kinda annoying and wasn't needed but I can live with that. The film seems to draw inspiration from a variety of sources, one thing that I do feel is this does a better job of creating a Doom like atmosphere than that film ever did! So you should totally see it because this is in my opinion Doom underwater (mostly).

The negative reviews are probably from people who loved TLJ and thought it was great so take them with a grain of salt.

Great fun!

Warning: Spoilers
I love this movie, it's just so goofy. Almost any nutty idea is in it, the lead characters are great together as total absurdity continues. I absolutely adore Cassandra Scerbo in this, she plays her role well. I think it's brilliant as she takes out enemies left and right ultimately leading to a finale that's both tragic and expected. Now I have seen alot of LMN movies so they could've made the ending abit more positive for her! There's a handful like that where the villan wins.

Interesting but also goofy

Well most of the time people in this show make silly mistakes leading to massive disasters. As such is life I suppose but wow one episode the guy has a pocket knife thats garbage and the other the woman leaves her cell phone and another they have nothing to scare the bear off, like idk a loud noise making device of some kind? I mean seriously so many mistakes! Guess that's why it's appearing on the show though so go figure. Lessons learned though don't just stand around as a bear charges you throw down a noise making device to spook the heck outta it or something.

It got better as time went on
11 October 2019
Warning: Spoilers
It's not that terrible, heck you've have to be crazy to hate it. There are much worse movies like TLJ to hate and this is a masterpiece compared to that one! I did find the whole romance between the scientist and the girl boring, he was just a schmuck trying to cling to the past putang he had, what a joke! So the primary issue in this film is it feels like the 2nd half was written by someone else, I mean it's actually pretty darn good. The pacing improves, the characters are better the action is cooler. What the heck happened? I've no idea but yea I could've watched more of what went on in the 2nd part than the 1st slow-mo as heck. I feel bad for this franchise, Doom should've been absolutely awesome they've turned it into a joke but at least they tried decently for the 2nd half. Hopefully they will reboot it again to a more darker, less comedic type of thing.

It's not great but not horrible
27 September 2019
Well I always hated the concept but it wasn't as terrible as I'd believed. It's alright, the problem here is one we should've guessed, Brie unfortunately doesn't have the experience needed to completely pull off the character, put alongside Jude Law who is absolutely phenomenal and experienced causes a very obvious rift. He's just more skilled. I'd rather watch his backstory than hers. Sign me up for films based on his character instead.

Aladdin (2019)
8/10
It's good but not great!
17 June 2019
Warning: Spoilers
The visuals are amazing but in 2019 that's to be expected with all the technology at their disposal, especially Disney! So that leaves us with the acting and storyline, which unfortunately felt rushed in the beginning and led to a rather poor energy throughout the entire story. They made the main characters get close to fast without enough time spent developing them beforehand. I understand it's following the original story closely but I have a hard time believing the connection was so strong and it shows onscreen also as they seem to be following one-another in shock most of the opening. I'm afraid the actors didn't have the required chemistry early on and it led to a poor start.

The thing is Aladdin got better as it went on, but Jasmine I felt was looking through him the entire time, it felt she was acting rather than really there. Similar to Will Smith's acting, I felt like it was him acting not the actual genie. That's why most of the film is miscast, they chose people who are good singers or popular talents but not good actors, I can guarantee if this movie was cast based on acting talent it would've been 10x better. I was never afraid of Jafar like the original, here he felt like a bully and not dangerous in anyway. I kept thinking just push him off the building and the stories over, come on! I am not sure how they picked the actors for this but it's just not working, Will Smith can't sing this part that well, it sounds pretty bad IMO, maybe he sings ok other times but here it's to low and gutteral for me to buy it. I also already said I felt it was him acting or trying too rather than the actual character. I give it 8 stars for being fun to watch but -2 because it should've been 10 easy but the lack of good casting and choosing talent over other concerns led to a movie I won't rewatch, the original is so much better!

Terrible, worst film I ever saw
20 April 2019
This doesn't deserve any rating, it's just awful garbage and was a huge waste of my time. It's the only film in recent history I've walked out on, it was just that bad. It's horrible, endless dialog going nowhere, felt like hours when minutes had passed, I frankly can't believe anyone thought it was good and it certainly wasn't scary in any way. Pumpkinhead kicks the heck out of this thing in terms of creepy/scary.

Only for Special Effects
23 March 2019
What a horrible, terrible, piece of garbage. The movie is nonredeemable. Total wasted footage, total wasted acting, all of them annoying. No we don't want a whiny brat kid in this, not him anyway! I can't tell you how much better the original is than this stuff but you will find out trust me. The film is a huge mess and offers nothing inventive or fun, it's just a huge waste of time. I see it come on tv all the time and I watch it because I'm in awe of just how terrible it is.

I cannot imagine who directed this, why, what actors knew it was a trainwreck when it was getting done, all I know is I'd be ashamed.

Worse than Last Jedi but not by much

I won't spoil anything, but this movie is worth more than 5 stars out of 10 for serious. It's fun, got good monsters, and good story. The cast is great also. I see no problems here with it, everyone should have a copy on their shelves for Halloween.

Hilarious stupidity
2 September 2018
Warning: Spoilers
Totally awesome! The completely stupid nature of the characters astounds me and fascinates me all at once. The abusive controlling father, or the silly son. Take your pick both are fools! I loved the idea the son blew away his dad only to see him actually survive that! Impossible. What's more hilarious is how all his dumb advice just ended up getting him shot by accident, guess it wasn't so great huh? The pain his dad would be in could easily be total silence because we hear nothing from him. How crazy. You'd be screaming constantly in that kind of shape nobody could ever calm you except serious drugs. Now I did hope the moose was going to charge them both and get them, I hated them hunting the moose. Also the bear I wish he'd eaten them and we just saw bones left over, that'd be a great end! Next time maybe the dad will WANT to play videogames instead of hunt poor defenseless moose but who knows, does anyone in this world learn?

I have interest in Ayurveda and Psychoanalysis, this show reeks of inconsistency in both its approach to these people and also its conclusions.

Hilariously goofy
20 August 2018
Warning: Spoilers
I haven't seen them all but watched this one. Now I know the earlier ones were better, this had some issues. The first problem was it felt rushed and characters were becoming semi-annoying. I can safely say the biggest problem is the stupid ending, you can't just make everything go back to the way it was at the start of the Sharknado's, this is just not acceptable. There should have been some real advancement of the story not a cheap time-reset ending. That works on television but on a full series of films like this I find it improper to do to the audience who's participated this entire time.

You basically don't have any real reason to watch any of these if time resets, sure it's goofy fun so I guess don't take it so serious as I am.

Falling Skies (2011–2015)

Very compelling then fell into mediocrity
17 August 2018
Warning: Spoilers
Well what to say? It's been so long I'd almost forgotten this gigantic mess of a show until I found out The Colony was being cancelled, then I was reminded of this show since it wasn't. One word is awesome, then sad. Far to many dead-ends, the worst was the great enemy, they never materialized but it would've made the last seasons so much better because what we got instead was a daughter from The 4400. Unlike that show this one had an absolutely cheat ending, where the writers didn't need to conclude anything because it all happened by magic. They kill the spider queen and all the aliens that exist explode, yes I'm serious. After watching 5 seasons you get the dumbest sci-fi ending in history. Complete and total waste of time.

I believe the writers gave up on this show after they became far to loose with the various things they introduced into the story. It's not that hard to write a cohesive television series just don't make everyone stupid and constantly change character, sadly you had that happening here alot.

It gets 8 stars because it's awesome in a sci-fi sense, has good effects, but that story is just a mess of junk in the end. The final 2 episodes were totally pathetic storytelling that a novelist or anyone would be ashamed to have written.

I realize some enjoy this show and I understand but I believe things should make sense and actually follow-through. This show didn't.

The Collector (2004–2006)

I have not forgotten
13 August 2018
Warning: Spoilers
The first few episodes make it seem just like any other drama on television. But after watching 5 or so you begin to see things differently. It was a brilliant concept with perfect casting, especially Morgan and Maya, the chemistry there was very real to me and felt honest. When she's later replaced the show never has the same feeling and something is certainly lost.

Unfortunately a DVD box set was never produced except for Seasons 1 and 2 and then only in the UK. I myself was able to purchase both before they went out of print. Season 3 was only ever released online through a recording off Citytv.

So what's the shows shining glory? Well........ Gabe certainly enhances the mystery around things, being able to see the devil and sometimes interfering in his plans. What's awesome is the little hints left in every episode that carry the story forward later, everything works out so well and you realize the entire situation is far more complex than we imagined. This is not simply a story about the devil and saving people from hell, it's designed to weave something intricate together that forms the framework of a deeper story. We catch a glimpse near the series end when Morgan is unsure whether the demon being exorcised is real or just the devil masquerading as a demon. We learn Morgan has never seen demons serving the devil and doesn't believe it's really one, but the demon puts forth a convincing argument. So just what is happening here? Was the demon real or just the devil pretending?

There are a few scenes that stick out in your mind, when the Devil goes to Maya right after we learn she made her own deal and can see the portals to hell, how Morgan discovers it is awesome! But why did the devil goto her and tell her he was lonely and heard everyone's pain in their hearts, was he regretful? Something here makes you realize he was serious and now we can glimpse something else is happening with the Devil and the over-all storyline.

Also Gabes father as an Angel telling him he found something that told him to have a child and make his deal, it was implied this was some sort of ancient artifact we might later find or hear more about but nothing else was done with it as the series was cut short. We did learn it was so ancient even Morgan wasn't able to read the language Gabe wrote down.

Now when they took Jeri to hell that was a remarkable moment because it was just absolutely stunning to me as an audience member. I thought they'd have her continue following Morgan until the end of the show but nope, they decided she knew to much and off she went. But there's more here, as if the deal Gabe's father made lead to it. Infact everything links together very well and I'm sure they had some reason the devil wanted her soul particularly. He later blames her for continuing to pursue Morgan even at the risk of ignoring her son Gabe, justifying that as a the reason she deserved to goto hell. But Gabe also knew ahead of time she'd be going, saying goodbye to her as she left. So clearly Gabe knows who the devil will take or wants, sometimes can interfere as he did with the girl being raped by her father.

There's a treasure of content we could explore here, shaping an entire universe unlike anything today on tv.

The best parts were Morgan learning the devil made the deal with him because he'd have ended up curing Katrina of the plague and bringing it to the world saving millions of lives. This was utterly crazy at the time and we were left wondering omfg how could he be so horrible, this devil.

Another moment we question what's going on is when Morgan's going to freeze to death in the meat locker at the restaurant, the devil reveals part of the deal made was to keep anyone from finding him for 30 years. So he'd remain frozen, eventually thaw out 30 years later since he's a collector he can't die. Yet the devil provides him a way out saying he didn't make the deal saying people can't find him who don't know where he is already, then hands him a phone. That's another moment we see that changes the dynamic in the show because the devil isn't doing it for kicks, or for compassion, what it appeared to me was something about the story was playing a part, the devil may have been changing or somehow Gabe's influence or Morgans interfering with his evil judgments. But let's not forget he says Morgan is special, and infact told Maya he was telling the truth when he said he loved her!

It's possible that in some moments the devil was actually god masquerading for some unknown reason, however we KNOW Morgan has never said god exists and thinks maybe only the devil does, though he believes in heaven. In one instance Morgan does see the gateway to heaven taking someone, and to me this implied something with him was changing too. Like the devil he was also not stuck in 1 kind of moment, unlike characters of today both were evolving.

My take on everything here was as much as the devil had deals that moved around luck, whatever was happening had a larger role in the devil and making him less evil or something like it. He helps Morgan in the freezer, helps Maya telling her Morgan's honest so she will trust him, even curing Maya of aids which he states himself as if proud of it. It's possible god was trying to balance the evil with good in the devil or something, giving him a chance for redemption also.

These are some things to consider, as well as the Yogi episode where he vanishes and Morgan tells the devil he never saw the portal to hell anywhere. It's brushed off by the devil as meaningless but I suspect something else happened as the devil always leaves bodies behind when taking a soul. Perhaps it would have added more later to this dynamic going on, maybe the devil isn't what he seems?

Infact I am not sure the devil is what Morgan thinks, it was unclear because he did good things and states himself people always have choices. And when seeking redemption the devil showed judgment about what someone needed to do for it, saying a few times people shouldn't get it for doing just this or that.

I'd love a Netflix reboot but since nobody's ever heard of this show I doubt we'll ever get one, but it was amazing and truly wonderful to see.

Not that great but entertaining
30 July 2018
Warning: Spoilers
The movie itself is pretty boring, The main issue was the start of it was very good, but after they get trapped that is the boring stuff. Nothing really happens, entire feeling of the film is off. Also the cook looked like a girl with that blindfold on so I thought I was about to see some nasty stuff for a minute going down, turned out I was wrong lol. Prisons design is cool and I liked the robots.

Over-all it's alright to see once but I can't imagine watching this over again, what would be the point? Escape Plan 1 was so much better.

I really enjoyed this movie, everyone did a great job and the plot was cool!

I also want to mention there's an apparent redo of this film called Paradox (2016) which shares the same storyline with a few twists. I was unable to find credit given to the original however which was disappointing as they're clearly the same films for the most part.

I wish they'd mention somewhere this is based on 11 A.M. or Yeolhansi the Korean sci-fi film which in my opinion was far superior.

Over-all it's a fun film and I liked the changes they made to the storyline but again the original is fantastic!

Don't think just experience it
20 May 2018
I saw this with no idea what it was about, just that it has cool colors and butterflies in it. This movie will confuse, bewilder, and entice you to imagine things you never could expect. It's not linear in the way you'd think, it's all over the place but shows us that everyone has their own life and it's never just about you. The brilliance of this movie is it's unique acceptance of all the crazy things people do or think, their stupidity and their charm. Worth watching once, don't think just experience it.
