This was a fun movie. John Krasinski, who wrote and directed the movie - also stars as the father to the 12yo Bea.
While her father is in the hospital, she is staying with her grandmother in NYC.
Her grandmother appears to let her go at all hours of the day/night - with no questions about where she was. Which I lucky for her - because she gets to experience some interesting events, and meet some fun IF's. Ryan Reynolds' character was not so much center stage as he was MC adjacent. I wish he had been given a bigger role - and fleshed out some of the earlier scenes.
The message of the movie is nice, and the fun special effects really bring it to life. It's a wonderful thought to have your imaginary friends stay with you even as you age. I never had one, but I kind of wish I did.
Also, I will forever be saying, "Dammit Keith!!" When I trip over my own feet.
