Brilliant but Painful to watch
14 December 2006
This is one of those movies that not only you can't forget, as it stays with you days later, and possibly forever, but it makes you uncomfortable when you're watching it. It's conflictive, because I love it, but I'm not sure I can watch it again.

You can feel the tension building up to the final scene, you know that something awful is going to happen, and when it does, it's devastating! I confess, I heard about the final scene, and I thought I knew what was coming, but nothing could prepare me for the brutal impact it had on me. The entire movie is shocking, and sadly close to reality, showing the true face of Hollywood, with its twisted characters.

This masterpiece couldn't have been this great, however, if it weren't for the brilliant performances of Karen Black, and Donald Sutherland. I'm probably biased because I love Sutherland, but it was one of his finest performances! I highly recommend it!

Laughable

I don't usually comment, but there are things that need to be said. Where to start...

The acting, on Jeremy London's part was horrible! I didn't think he could be so bad. The plot could have been good, had it been well directed, along with a good solid performance from the lead actor. Unfortunately, this is one of those movies you read about and think it has great potential to be entertaining, but get disappointed from the start.

Well, at least I got good laughs. I wouldn't waste my time if I were you.
