Oppenheimer (2023)
Worst Nolan Film By Far
Absolutely dreadful film, from the script to the lack of VFX...
Only redeemable thing is the acting but that's all it is, a display of acting...
There is absolutely nothing engaging or interesting about this film.
This is a boring film with horrible pacing and you all who are giving this film anything higher then 5/10 are smoking something I ain't
This 3 hour film could be 90 minutes and way more interesting...
Do not watch this movie, I would not recommend anyone to watch it and I will never watch this movie again.
I would rate The Following higher then this movie...
Absolutely terrible, Nolan you have fallen off.
Smile (2022)
Amazing Horror Film!
Looks like a lot of people in the comments hate horror movies but keep going out to see them. Also those are the same people complaining that horror movies are unoriginal...
Which misses the main part about horror movies, they aren't supposed to be a nuance character exploration like drama films... they are a fun ride where you get scared and have fun then go on with your life.
Horror movies are not serious people, they are just a fun date night or night in movie with your SO, nothing more and nothing less.
Having said all that, this movie is awesome, its fun from start to finish and never boring, sure its not a new premise but its masterfully directed, shot, acted, edited, everything.
Great job everyone who worked on this.
House of the Dragon: King of the Narrow Sea (2022)
Absolutely captivating!
This right here is the episode that made me fall in love with HOTD!
It wasn't the dragons, the sets, or the battles.
It was the absolutely amazing story and character building, the payoff is coming in the next episode and I am soooo excited!
What an amazing way to put the pieces in places for the upcoming fight for the throne. The characters are so sly in fighting for the throne, it's just bafflingly good writing that I never seen before even in the original GOT.
Such a witty episode, I freaken love it, each character just had their entire world rocked and I am here for it! Let's go, bring ittt!
House of the Dragon (2022)
Episode 4! Finally feels like GOT is back!
HOTD was good not great up until episode 4, now it's finally hit it's stride to something amazing and even sooner then GOT season 1!
Episode 5 is going to be an absolute huge pay off and the rest of the season is going to be absolutely amazing! I haven't been this stoked since GOT season 5 or 6! Literally nothing like it on TV right now and comparing it to ROP unless something drastic happens is laughable.
HOTD is beating out ROP in every category except gratuitous use of CGI.
If this show goes where I think it's going this might even top GOT... Which I never imagined a spin off could do...
Mythic Quest: Raven's Banquet (2020)
Absolutely horrible show
Unbelievably bad, it's everything that is wrong with today's media.
The only reason I gave this trash show a chance is because it is from some of the creators of it's always sunny in Philadelphia.
Don't go into this show thinking its even close to that masterpiece. Like the gay guy in the other review says this show is trying to be woke but sucks at it.
Promising Young Woman (2020)
Unique and well done thriller
Great cinematography, writing, and acting, all around great job by the cast and crew! Even though there are some nit picks that annoy the observant movie viewer, it's nothing that is story immersion breaking.
I really like this film, it was a fresh take in a time when thrillers have for the most part become pretty stagnant.
Bloodshot (2020)
Wow this have to be the best action movie in years!
Amazing job to the whole cast and crew, truly a fantastic action movie. I can't even remember the last time I saw an action movie this good, maybe the first Matrix? Like no really this is top notch action that puts John Wick to shame.
Thank you for making me fall in love with action movies all over again!
The Minimalists: Less Is Now (2021)
Don't be a hoarder
There I saved you 53 minutes. This documentary has good directing but is overall a pointless movie with a message that can be boiled down to 3 or 4 words.
Maybe it's just not for me but I did not take away anything from this one. The first minimalists documentary at least I took away the get rid of things after photographing them idea but this time around it was literally pointless.
The closest thing that I can think of as a take away from this film is to pretend to move and then only reintroduce the things you actually use back into your life, that's it... in 53 minutes.
Next time just write an article.
Maniac (2018)
Most overrated show in years
Impossible to get through, nothing makes sense, it drags on with no point. I feel like this would have been much better as a movie. No idea what the allure is in not understanding what's going on to the point of not caring what's going on but hey some people seem to love so it there's that. Watching episode 4 right now and it's literally so useless, are they in some simulation, how are they the only ones together? Who cares, just make it more confusing, someone will like it.
Black Summer (2019)
Showed promise but ultimately sucks - Real review by real person #notafakeperson
Alright first off I am not being paid by the man, think about it, would they really pay someone like me to write a review about a zombie movie, no they wouldn't but also why I am talking so much about not being paid about these "men", well who knows, maybe I am and maybe I am not.
Alright second off lets get to the review, it's not good guys, it's really not, the story sucks, the character development sucks, the cinematography sucks. The only redeeming quality is that the zombies run fast and aren't useless like the ones from walking dead, other then that this was a horrible show and not worth watching.
Netflix really needs to step up their game or I am switching back to buying dvds.
